Production Update (Pixiv Fanbox)
Content
Hello, everyone!
It’s been a while since I last shared an update on my work!
I’ve now finished writing the scenario for the final chapter of What Was on My USB That Day, and I’ve officially begun producing the comic!
However, since this is the final chapter, the story has become considerably longer than expected... The written storyboard alone is over 18,000 Korean characters!
Considering my working style—where I often add new ideas whenever inspiration strikes—I expect the finished comic to be at least 140 pages long...
Because of this, production may take longer than I originally announced. Fortunately, as AI technology continues to advance, I’ve been able to significantly reduce the amount of time required for production.
If I aim to complete around 1,000 characters’ worth of material each day, I think I may be able to finish the chapter within approximately 18 to 20 days.
Of course, translation and final post-processing will require some additional time as well.
At this point, some of you may be wondering:
“What kind of story could possibly make the chapter this long?”
The central theme of this chapter is the protagonist’s moral corruption.
In Chapter 1, Kim Minjun’s first love, Yoo Sohyeon, surrendered to pleasure and fell into corruption.
In Chapter 2, Oh Seona, who had been crushed under the weight of being a single mother, became addicted to the forbidden escape she shared with Byun Jaehyeok.
And in Chapter 3, Kim Minjun himself will become completely corrupted.
However, readers familiar with my work may assume that “the corruption of a man” automatically means feminization.
That is not the case this time.
Rather than focusing on sexual feminization, I intend to focus more heavily on Kim Minjun’s humanity and morality—on completely destroying the very foundation of the mind that makes him who he is.
Of course, for a person’s humanity to collapse entirely, something equally significant must happen to them.
That is why this chapter will contain a large number of extremely intense and destructive events.
To give you a small spoiler...
In this chapter, the protagonist will be made to wear a special outfit.
Throughout history, clothing has represented a person’s social status and the identity of the group they belong to. In that sense, there may be no more effective device for instilling the collective mentality of a group of complete degenerates.
Clothing can also express a person’s unique identity. But by forcing everyone to wear the same uniform, that individuality can be erased as well.
Within the unusual environment of the “gathering” hosted by the hedonist Byun Jaehyeok, Kim Minjun will be able to throw away concepts such as morality and ethics—and become a complete degenerate.
So, to summarize Chapter 3 in a single sentence:
It is the story of Kim Minjun attending the gathering and gradually losing his humanity...
And now...
The news that all of you are probably most curious about:
When will this chapter finally be completed?
At the moment, I have tentatively set the final deadline for August 11 at 9:00 PM.
Depending on my health and other outside circumstances, it may be completed slightly earlier—or slightly later.
Even so, I will do my absolute best to upload it by August 11!
After all, I still have so many ideas and stories that I want to share with you!
However, I know the wait may become boring if it drags on for too long, so I’ll soon return with the final Q&A for Kind Wife’s Morning Farewell, along with plenty of behind-the-scenes details and trivia.
I also plan to reveal detailed character profiles for What Was on My USB That Day around the end of July, including information that had to be left out of the comic due to page limitations.
Please look forward to it!
