MC☆Axis issue 65 will be released on 21 June.

This issue will feature anti-tank attack aircraft. Mikoyan explains the A-10 attack aircraft and Ju87G-1.

The Ju87 was created as a dive bomber and served in Germany during World War II. Japan at the time also purchased it from Germany as a reference for aircraft development.

The Ju 87's mission was primarily precision bombing of tactical targets and attacks on ships, but as the war changed it was equipped with a large machine gun and used for anti-tank attacks.

The A-10 attack aircraft was created as a countermeasure to the Soviet ground forces that came in droves during the Cold War.

The current situation in Ukraine sometimes makes me think "Oh if only they had this plane". Incidentally, the magazine also includes a commentary article on the latest developments in Ukraine.

Mikoyan's commentary is on the A-10 Ju87, but there are other anti-tank attack aircraft from the old and the new, so stay tuned!

It would be fun to have a bird's eye view of the past and present of anti-tank attack aircraft.

And the second special feature in this publication covers self-propelled artillery of the Ground Self-Defence Force.

Mikoyan was in charge of the M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System.

That was the one we were covering at the weapons school the other day.

The 'multi' in the name also means that a variety of different types of rockets can be fired from a large rocket launcher.
