Incubators (Pixiv Fanbox)

Insect monsters are downright ruthless when it comes to reproduction. They'll kidnap females from other species and use them as incubators for their eggs. Whether the prey lives or dies doesn't matter to them, they just need a meaty vessel to plant their seeds in. The prey's body becomes a nutritious seed bed, providing essential sustenance for the developing embryos.

If they're hungry, they'll chow down on the flesh of their victim. They'll only eat a little, leaving most of the body for the new larvae that are about to hatch. ensuring their offspring have a ready supply of nutrients to grow strong and hungry, ready to carry on the cycle of predation and procreation.
