I run this Fanbox as a hobby in my spare time, not as a full-time job. Things were going fine until someone bought the tentacle breed comic.

At first the comments were just people asking for more of it. Then they started getting aggressive. Criticism of my art is fine, but comments like “Is it intentional that Tentacles Breed only gets brought up around billing time, only to be followed by side posts?” really offend me. If people think I’m using the comic just to get money, I’ll stop making it.

Not only this one, but there are more similar comments like this on many of my posts.

It’s become impossible for me to enjoy drawing comics with all these aggressive comments flooding my other posts.

About the art quality since I only draw in my free time, the quality can vary. When I have a lot of free time I put extra effort in, but then I get bashed the moment it goes back to normal.

My hand also hurts from drawing. I physically can’t keep the quality consistent all the time. The income here isn’t high. If you want high quality and a lot of content, I’d have to charge $10 or $15 like I did before moving to Fanbox. This would also mean for billing my doctor to fix my hand, because I’d have no life left and just drawing nonstop and wrecking my hand in process.

The tentacle breed comic was never meant to be a long series. It was supposed to end around page 9 or 10, with the boy dying and the mother giving birth. I dragged it longer and added some anal scenes because someone asked for it even if i’m not into it. Just to get aggressive comments later. I can’t continue this comic right now, so I’m stopping it for the time being.

I might finish it later, or I might just end it on the next page. Commenting about it on my other art won’t make it come back faster ,it’ll only delay it more.

If you’re not happy with my content, it’s totally fair to unsubscribe. I appreciate the support, but I won’t draw things I don’t enjoy just to keep people subscribed.

If the aggressive comments keep showing up on my other posts, I’ll have no choice but to start deleting them or turn comments off completely. I’ll not like it too because that means people won’t be able to leave feedback or suggestions anymore.

I think you’re making the right call. Some fans have really taken things way too far. Just create at your own pace and draw what you enjoy. Take care of yourself, and keep it up!

Fortyseven47

I said before that constantly spamming about it was only putting more pressure on the artist. And now look what happened.

Kaydog9734

The comments were unfair to you, from one artist to another take time for yourself and make sure your hand recovers well. If people insist to be so hostile then they can just leave in my humble opinion. Keep up the great work and try not to burn yourself out ♡

Xilas

Hey Brother, dont mind the spammers… its your work a you are drawing what’s coming to your mind. Keep up the good work bro

tisiris

I’ve been supporting your Fanbox for over two years now, and Tentacles Breed has always been the series that grabbed my attention more than anything else. I’ve constantly left comments expressing how much I look forward to each next chapter, but seeing how much stress you’re under, I feel awful realizing that even my eagerness might have felt like a burden to you. I am truly sorry if my constant anticipation added to your pressure. Despite everything, I will continue to support you consistently. Once again, I’m deeply sorry, author. Please take care of your hand and take a good rest!

ク

You should always focus on what you enjoy making! That will make the process more bearable and, often I think, make the end result better. But your own enjoyment of your work should come first.

slow_mo99

I just read your post and I am genuinely ashamed of my previous comment. Looking back, my words were extremely disrespectful, entitled, and completely out of line. I let my impatience for Tentacles Breed cloud my judgment, but that’s absolutely no excuse for taking your hard work and health for granted. I am sincerely sorry for hurting your feelings and adding to your stress. I apologize once again from the bottom of my heart for my thoughtless behavior, author. Please just focus entirely on your hand and physical recovery without any pressure from me.

Vespera

I might have come across a bit too sharp in my last comment, so I do apologize for that phrasing. That said, thank you for taking the time to explain. Transparent communication like this is honestly all we were asking for. As long as you keep us updated like this when things come up, no one will give you a hard time.

josh_vt

I'm really sorry to bring this up when things are still sensitive, but I noticed that the note about SubscribeStar becoming your new home was removed. Did the application end up getting rejected by any chance, or is it just taking longer to get approved?

Alex_L92

I read your post and wanted to sincerely apologize. I literally resubscribed the moment Tentacles Breed came back—honestly, your work is the absolute peak of this genre, so I was terrified that such a masterpiece might end up put on hold or abandoned again. My anxiety over losing it got the better of me, and I ended up expressing my frustration way too harshly. I feel terrible if my impatience added to your stress, author. Please don't let my words weigh on you, and just take all the time you need to recharge.

Oh... I had no idea you were going through such a hard time, I feel so sorry! 🥺 I was just really eager to see Ch.12, but your health and comfort should always come first. No matter how long it takes, I'll still be right here waiting and supporting you all the way! Take all the time you need! (੭ˊᵕˋ)੭

Fortyseven47

I’m glad you apologized to the artist, but I also think you owe me an apology. The way you treated me before caused me a lot of emotional distress. You tried to justify something that was clearly wrong, used it to attack and dismiss what I was saying, and put labels on me in the process. That genuinely affected me, and I don’t think it’s something that should just be ignored now. If you now recognize that what happened was wrong, then I hope you can also recognize what you did to me at the time.

I completely understand, and agree with the decision. I even encouraged ending the series in a comment myself because it was getting out of hand and the comments were becoming toxic, so i think this is the right move. I have been following you and supporting for years, and i enjoy everything you put out, regardless of quality or upload frequency. You are one of my favourite artists, and i know that keeping yourself healthy, happy and encouraged will always lead to creating your best art. I'm sorry you had to deal with so many rude and entitled people on every post. You didnt deserve any of that, and i was always grateful for what you uploaded. I look forward to whatever you make next, and hope that you can feel better now that tentacles breed is finished :)

Anon

That was barely an apology dude lol you basically just blamed kurohime for all of it

slow_mo99

Fair point, and I sincerely apologize for my past behavior toward you as well. I was overly impatient and let my emotions get the better of me after waiting for so long. Let’s put this behind us and keep things peaceful for the author.

Tim

Enjoy what you do but most importantly make sure to give time to yourself. Enjoy yourself at your own leisure not others. Always loved your work so my thanks to you.

NecRoviuS

Good job putting your foot down and telling those brats to shut the fuck up

Fortyseven47

Thank you. I really appreciate the apology. What happened before did affect me quite a bit, so it means a lot to hear you acknowledge it. So I agree to put this behind us and move on peacefully :)

CatLoaf_03

I had no idea you were facing so much stress and pain behind the scenes, and I truly apologize if my previous comment added to that pressure. Hearing your side completely changes how I view things, and I fully understand your position now. Please focus on your well-being first and take all the time you need. I'll be here supporting you whenever you're ready to draw what you enjoy.

Yeah it seems like we were the only ones that saw this coming, and tried to defend him. Pressuring him like that was only going to lead to one outcome. I personally didnt get all the crazy hype and obsession over the one series. I liked it of course, but it wasnt my favourite. I'm relieved he can finally move on and focus on other projects, like the Orc series, or new and equally creative ones. I also really enjoy his one-shot comics, as they are always creative and unique and allow him to try out new and different things without the pressure of multiple installments.

Julian_B91

I am so sorry if my comments sounded like I was rushing you! I was just a bit too impatient because I love this series so much. I completely understand your position now, and I'll trust you and wait patiently. Take all the time you need, thank you so much! 🫣

Fortyseven47

I also really appreciate you trying to help keep the comment section reasonable lately. You know, when some of the more obsessive fans start using their numbers to overwhelm others, putting labels on people, and trying to drown out anyone who speaks up against it, having someone else who sees what’s happening clearly really means a lot. It can feel pretty isolating when you’re trying to push back against that kind of behavior alone. So seriously, thank you for speaking up and helping out. I really appreciate it.

Fortyseven47

And yeah, I’m really looking forward to it too! He’s my favorite artist, and I genuinely enjoy pretty much everything he creates. I actually felt the same way as you about Tentacle Breed — I liked it, but I was never particularly obsessed with it. Unfortunately, the behavior of some of its more extreme and obsessive fans lately has started to sour the series for me a little, which is a shame because the series itself did nothing wrong.

lunar.01

I admit I was quite disappointed and vocal when it wasn't the series I hoped for, but hearing about the heavy stress and pain you've been dealing with puts things into a completely different perspective. I'm truly sorry if my previous disappointment added to your burden. Please take all the time you need to heal and recover—no more pressure from me, I'll just be cheering you on quietly from here!💞

Anon

As i tried to tell you in the last post, you stand to gain nothing from comments like that. They only put pressure and stress on the artist, which has the direct consequence of worse, less frequent, or a lack of content entirely. I respect that you apologised, but i felt, and im sure the author did as well, that your previous comment was worded in a particularly nasty and passive aggressive way, that stuck out even amongst all the others. I dont think you meant any harm, but just werent aware of how you were coming across. In the future, dont wait to hear how the author is doing before deciding whats appropriate to say or not, as comments like that are rude and unconstructive either way, and dont serve any purpose but to place undue pressure on them. It affects their mental health, which affects their work, which then affects the content we pay for.

Destroyisisscum

Well its been a damn years since an update.

Marcus_R94

Sorry for pushing too hard because I love this style so much! I'm really sorry if my impatience added any pressure. Take all the time you need to recover, and I'll patiently wait. 🔥

No problem! I've experienced echo chambers and dog piles many times before, so i understand how you feel. It's important to remind yourself that even though lots of people disagree with or dismiss you, and everyone seems to be against you, it doesnt always necessarily mean you're wrong. You have to have faith in yourself and confidence in your stance, or it can be very overwhelming. I never doubted my opinion on it, and i knew the series would end up being put on hiatus or cancelled outright. It was only a matter of time. It's a shame it happened, but looking at it in a more positive way, it will likely lead to friendlier and less toxic interactions in the future. I think most people have recognised the error of their ways and apologised, so we can all move on and enjoy the new content to come.

Fortyseven47

As someone who spoke out against this behavior early on and was repeatedly attacked for it, please forgive me for saying a little more. I never understood why asking people not to spam unrelated posts was twisted into “tone-policing.” FANBOX itself says creators don’t have to feel pressured to please their fans. Supporting a creator doesn’t make anyone entitled to repeatedly demand a specific series. Saying “I’d love to see more of this” is perfectly fine; bringing it up under every unrelated post is something very different. What bothered me most was that when someone asked for this behavior to stop, some people doubled down and attacked the person speaking against it. Eventually, it even escalated into accusations about the artist’s motives. This is exactly what I was worried would happen.

Dear_Promi

Take all the time you need to rest and recover! I'll be patiently waiting. I would still love to see how the story ends with the mother giving birth whenever you're ready to come back. Please take care of your health first!

Fortyseven47

That said, I do wish the artist had spoken up earlier when things started getting out of hand. One response from back then has always stuck with me: “The artist himself hasn’t said anything.” Honestly, even I couldn’t completely disagree with that at the time, and it made everything I said in defense of the artist feel powerless. I think the silence from both the artist and most other supporters unintentionally allowed the situation to keep escalating. Clearer boundaries and more people speaking up earlier might have prevented things from going this far. But I’m glad this can finally come to an end. I hope the artist takes care of his hand, gets some rest, and continues creating at his own pace. As I said before, being in a good state and working at your own pace are the foundation of creating anything. I hope nothing like this happens again, and that the comments can stay positive from now on.

FrostyOrb

Admittedly, I got a bit tired of it too lol

ちょここあ

I completely understand your situation, author. I will wait quietly and patiently. I would still love to see how the series ends someday. Thank you!

PunkinsSan

Kudos to you, Kurohime! May all the tentacle freaks disappear! You're annoying!

blue.tail_00

Author, I'm so sorry if my previous impatient comments ever added any stress to you. 🥺 I just love your art so much, but I never meant to make it a burden. Please focus entirely on your health and hand first! ❤️ No rushing at all, take all the time you need to heal. I'll be quietly and patiently supporting you! 💕

Honestly, I had already unsubscribed, and I only subscribed again after seeing that you finally addressed this whole situation. I know it’s already near the end of the month, but I’m genuinely glad I came back. The whole thing was absolutely ridiculous. Some of those fans acted like they were completely obsessed with Tentacle Breed, bringing it up again and again no matter what was actually being posted. I’m just glad this mess is finally over. And personally, I strongly hope Tentacle Breed stays where it is. Of course, if you genuinely want to continue it someday, that’s entirely your decision. But otherwise, just let it end here. Let it be a lesson to the people who kept pushing and pushing until they ruined the very thing they were so desperate to get more of. Some wounds are better left closed. Let this one stay closed.

VindiKate

I'm very glad! Take your time with your work, please!

DozyBear

I'm really sad to hear this because it's one of my absolute favorite series, but I completely understand. You must have had a tough time, so thank you for always sharing such amazing work with us. I'll keep trusting and supporting you no matter what! Stay strong!

Tigo30

Ah, it’s my favorite series so I’m really sad to see it go, but I always trust and support your decisions! Please take your time to recharge and stay strong!

Namwan

I was really looking forward to seeing where this story would go next, so it's definitely sad news, but no project is worth burning yourself out over. Thank you for sharing such a great series with us so far! Wishing you all the best!
