[Newsletter] End of Year 2025 (Pixiv Fanbox)
Content
Heya everyone,
I think it's a good idea to reflect on this year and decide some things for the next year in this post. So, let's start with the negatives to have them behind us.
Negatives:
- I lost my job in 2025, but before I got fired, I got legally exploited with overtime and much more. In hindsight, after researching my job and regional situation, I think they should've paid me a lot more for what I did. Well, this is what happens when you're young and new. Coworkers were nice and I like them, which makes all of this even worse because from what I've heard after I got fired, they are not even looking for replacement. That means increased workload for my coworkers. It is what it is, I guess?
- Many unexpected IRL situations happened that asked for A LOT of money from me, even after getting fired, which some of you might remember. I won't go into detail here, but think about hardware failure, car problems and much more.
- The Loss of a best friend I knew from kindergarten. Yeah, this also happened in 2025. I never mentioned it because it's just too much. I won't go into detail here as well, but I was friends with him for majority of my life and we chatted and had fun together a lot. I was devastated when I heard the news and to this day, I ... I don't think I got over it.
- Family caused me a lot of headache over this year. They want to renovate this place and since I lost my job, I "should" help more, which itself isn't wrong, but the way they did it is the problem. This immediately took over a lot of my free time which I wanted to use for Patreon/Fanbox.
So, now that I got the biggest negatives out of my system, let's move to the positives.
Positives:
- Let's start with wallpapers. I found some decent deals on skeb with creators and received really good wallpapers over the year.
And for the very first time, I'm sharing a completely new wallpaper. This one is for Kira, one of my other main OCs that will appear a lot in my future works.
If you want to download it from a different source, then check here: https://mega.nz/file/WQl13CpL#9nhrARqIYhNPBNg7ZI9nQdyEKxSyLCPZ3YsDMHupEJc
You can also find it in the Public Archive in the 2025 Extras Folder.
I do want to get another wallpaper for the currently missing 3rd main OC that will also appear in the future, but remember the negatives above. This might take a while, but maybe I'll be lucky.
- I finally took real first steps into Game Development. Not only RPG Maker and Renpy, I also tried some things with GameMaker (used by Undertale and Deltarune for example), Godot and Unity. Of course, my current main engine will be RPG Maker for the forseeable future, but we all know that RPG Maker isn't as powerful as the others, so things might change.
- Through complete accident, I'm now working together with a japanese artist/dev who already released multiple smaller sized TSF themed games. We're currently planning and slowly working on a Visual Novel and we will post updates and test builds to our Patreon/Fanbox pages whenever ready. Not all the details are 100% confirmed as of now, but I hope we can show more in 2026.
- I decided to finally change the "Engine" I use for my 3D Stories. I noticed a lot of new assets not being available for me with my outdated setup, which forced me to look into the alternative. First and foremost, majority of people probably won't notice it immediately. They might only see improved character models and that's about it. However, this opens doors to more variety of content, including more fantasy settings, which I avoided like the plague in the past.
- Booth45's TSF Week happened in november and it was a success if you ask me. Not to mention, you can all be really excited for next year as we got a LOT more creators to join the idea. Not only 3D Stories like mine, but also drawn stuff from big artists in the TSF scene (not japanese). I'm super excited to see what will happen next year.
So, what are my goals for 2026. Let's start with the most obvious one:
- MORE FREQUENT UPLOADS - This year was super bad in that regard. I made promises here and there and I wasn't able to keep them. On top of that, the amount of ideas I get for stories doesn't shrink, rather, I get a lot more new ideas that I really want to turn into 3D Stories.
- Starting new longterm 3D Stories projects with ongoing stories.
- Starting and committing to the idea of remaking old classics
- Releasing fun TSF RPG Maker Games
- Releasing the Visual Novel Project with the jp artist
- Organizing and releasing smaller collab projects with other TSF artists
- Finishing my backlog of Commissions long overdue
- Grow as a content creator
With this, I wish you all a happy new year and wish me good luck with my goals. I will probably need it. Also, don't forget the grab the wallpaper above~
