鬼畫顕現その１４は「佐武郎丸」の調伏シーンを紹介します。

佐武郎丸の調伏のテーマは「自己陶酔」です。

管に捕らわれた後も性欲に呑まれることなく自己鍛錬しながら正気を保っていた佐武郎丸でしたが、自身の汗によって生じた霧の中に「堕落した自分の姿」を見ます。

意思の強い佐武郎丸だからこそ「堕落したらどれだけ気持ち良いだろう」という想像に抗えず、幻惑の中の自分と現実の自分が一致していく快楽に落ちてゆく。

最後には「かくあるべき姿」の方が幻となり、かつての凛々しい自分の姿に興奮を覚えるようになる……といった内容でした。

KIGA kengen Part 14 Introducing the Chobuku scene of the Saburohmaru.

The theme of Saburohmaru’s Chobuku is narcissism.

Even after being captured by Kuda, Saburohmaru maintained his sanity through self-discipline, refusing to be consumed by his sexual desires. However, within the mist created by his own sweat, he sees “a corrupted version of himself.”

Precisely because Saburohmaru is so strong-willed, he cannot resist the temptation to imagine “how good it would feel to fall into depravity,” and he succumbs to the pleasure of seeing his delusional self merge with his real self.

In the end, his “ideal self” becomes the illusion, and he finds himself becoming aroused by the sight of his former, dignified self.
