Another week, another report!
Glad to be back working on the game!
This week, I continued working on the evening segment, especially on the altercation between Maddie and June if June is solidly at Reset 1.
Maddie will react differently depending on her relationship with June. If they're buddies, she might even take the blame (the food fight is also way more lighthearted)! (Screenshot 1)
The scene ends with a happy resolution anyway, with Ms. Sato taking a picture... I wonder if that will end up on the wall. (Screenshot 2)
Like with the dinner scenes, there are a lot of scenes during the evening routine that make more sense to work on chronologically, so we don't get too lost. That's why I asked Personalias to write a lot of scenes at once, from Day 3 to Day 14 or 15, rather than just the dinner scenes.
The dream sequences are part of these scenes, so they will happen once a night and reveal a bit more about June's past if June stays at Reset 0. We have other plans for Reset 1, though. You'll see in time! (Screenshots 3 and 4)
Integrating these dream sequences is easy enough, but I also have to constantly check that the code is executing properly and jumping from one label to another without hiccups, which is almost never the case. That's usually the most time-consuming part.
I started working on the potty segments. Here, there will also be differences in dialogue between each day, depending on June's current daytime underwear. (Screenshot 5)
Finally, I finished up all the diaper package items. That's what they will look like when you click on them in-game to inspect them.
Since the evening scenes are going to take so much time to make, I'm thinking about creating a shortcut to them in the next demo, so you can try out all the options.
It would be better than waiting for the game to be finished to experience them, and it should be worthy of a new build!
I also took an afternoon during the vacation break to correct a lot of typos in the game, thanks to the excellent work of Charis. Thanks a lot to them!
Next week, I plan to continue working on the potty segments and hopefully finish them!
