と、言いましても、「プレイしたことない！」という方々には何が何やらだと思いますが💦

ここからは「知ってる！」という方々前提でお話をさせてください～😅

お気に入りのサーヴァントに永倉新八がおりましてね。

ええ、新選組隊士のひとりでございます。

正直に言いましょう。新八っつぁんとは市川が小学生からの仲なのです！www

いや、まあ、単に新選組大好き小学生でしたもので……😅

どれぐらい好きかと言いますと当時！東京都日野市にあります土方歳三の墓に行ったくらい！(笑)

修学旅行のときにひとり別行動して西本願寺（新選組が京都に行ったときの滞在先です）にも壬生寺（新選組屯所訓練所）にも行ったくらい！(笑)

鈴宮和由先生の漫画「とってもひじかた君」を愛読していたくらい！(笑)

まあ、この話はさておきまして……。

このソシャゲ、バレンタインシーズンになりますと「バレンタインイベント」というものが開催されます。で、お気に入りのサーヴァントにバレンタインチョコを渡すことができるのです。はい、この辺はこのソシャゲをご存じない方のための情報です。

で。新八っつぁんがサーヴァントとして登場したとき（2023年11月加入）以来ずーーーーっと頭から離れないことがあるのです。

新八っつぁんにバレンタインチョコを渡すと他のサーヴァント同様、ラブラブ（？）イベントが発生するのですが。

ここで新八っつぁん、結構爆弾発言をしてくれるのです。

デートに映画に行こうぜと主人公を誘う新八っつぁん、映画館デートの帰りがけに、

「浅草で鰻といこうじゃねえか。なじみの店があるからよ。目が飛び出るほどうめぇんだぜ？」

と、言うのでした。

うなぎ屋に…………誘う……。

本気ですか！新八っつぁん！

良いんですねっ⁉新八っつぁん、お尻の覚悟が出来てるんですねっ⁉

えーと、江戸時代（彼の場合は明治期まで生きてますが）だと「うなぎ屋」さんって、勿論うなぎを食べさせてくれる店もありますが…………その他の場合はラブホとしても使われたのですよね。個室に行くとあとはお店の人にこちらが声を掛けるまで放置しておいてくれる親切システム！確か布団とかも用意してくれてた店もあったんじゃないかと。なので、「うなぎ屋さんに行こうぜ」は場合によっては「ラブホ行こうぜ」の意味なのですな。

さてはてこのFGOの新八っつぁん、口調からするとそのことすっかり忘れてそうですが、うなぎ屋さんに行って、

「あのさ新八っつぁん、江戸時代ってうなぎ屋ってラブホだったんでしょ？？？」

と言ったら……。

「ばばばばばっ、ばっかやろっ、何でテメぇそんなこと知ってんだよっ⁉いや、俺は純粋にお前に美味いうなぎを食わせてやろうとだな……っ💦」

と、大慌てする……のかな？、と。

市川漫画だと、「この後は新八っつぁんを美味しくいただきました♥」となると思いますが(笑)。

嗚呼、この話、2024年のバレンタイン以来、ずーーーーーーーーっと誰かにしたかったわけです(笑)。

That being said, if you haven't played it, this is probably gonna fly right over your head 💦So, let's assume from here that you already know what's up ~😅

I've got a favorite Servant: Nagakura Shinpachi.

Yeah, one of the Shinsengumi squad members.

Let's be real—Shinpachi and I go way back to elementary school! Www

Nah, truth is, I was just a total Shinsengumi-obsessed kid back then... 😅

How obsessed? Back in the day, I even made a pilgrimage to Hijikata Toshizo's grave in Hino City, Tokyo! (lol) On a school trip, I ditched the group and hit up Nishi Hongan-ji (Shinsengumi's Kyoto crash pad) and Mibu Temple (their barracks and training ground) all by myself! (lol) I devoured Wayu Suzumiya's manga Tottemo Hijikata-kun like it was my bible! (lol)

Anyway, enough backstory...

In this game, when Valentine season rolls around, they run a "Valentine Event" where you can hand Valentine's chocolates to your fave Servants. Yeah, that's the basics for anyone not in the know.

Ever since Shinpachi dropped as a Servant (joined in November 2023), there's been one thing I just can't shake from my head. When you give Shinpachi his Valentine's chocolate, just like with the other Servants, you get this lovey-dovey (??) event. And right there, Shinpachi-san drops a goddamn bombshell.

He invites the protagonist out on a movie date, and on the way back from the theater, he goes: "How 'bout we hit up some eel in Asakusa? Got a regular spot. It's so fuckin' good, your eyes'll pop right outta your skull?"

Inviting me to an... eel restaurant...?

You for real, Shinpachi-san!?

Hell yeah, right!? Shinpachi-san, you're all prepped and ready to take it up the ass, huh!?

Uh, back in the Edo period (he lived through to the Meiji era, but anyway), "eel shops" weren't just for chowing down on eel... they doubled as “love hotels” too. You head to a private room, and the staff leaves you the hell alone till you holler for 'em—super discreet! Some even hooked you up with futons and shit. So yeah, "Let's hit the eel shop" could straight-up mean "Let's fuck in a love hotel."

Now, this FGO Shinpachi, judging by his rough talk, seems like he's totally blanked on that fact. But imagine you go to the eel spot and hit him with:"Hey, Shinpachi, back in the Edo days, eel shops were basically...love hotels, right???" Then…

"B-b-b-b-bullshit! The fuck, how do you know about that!? Nah, I just wanted to treat ya to some killer eel… BELIEVE ME, it's not like that!! Shit, why the fuck did I completely forget about that!?💦"

He'd freak the fuck out... right?

Of course, if it’s in my manga, it'd end with: "And then I deliciously feasted on Shinpachi ♥" (lol).

Man, I've been dying to spill this story to someone ever since the 2024 Valentine event (lol). Ahh, feels so good to get it out! (lol) Wait, don't tell me "That's old news in the fandom already" ~~~~ 😅😅😅
