Thank you very much for your patience.

My new title, Temptation of Darkness Blood, is now complete!

This work is a vampire-themed story.

At the academy where the protagonist, Mina, attends, things begin to change after a newly appointed female doctor (the school nurse) arrives…

The game runs on Windows (10 or later).

There are eight endings in total, including branching variations.

I plan to release it on another platform (such as DLsite) in November or December.

Once sales begin on the external site, the FANBOX version will be discontinued.

Lorissagg93

i'm trying it now and i can confirm it has english, if it's not on by default(i have japanese local language on pc so to me it started in japanese), you go to the 4th option and you should see the language change part to switch it to english, have fun!!

kaw

Any chance to have android version on DLsite ?

Lorissagg93

finished all the endings, you can find the walkthrough about all the endings into the "README_EN" for english, and "README_JP" for japanese, i won't spoil the rest, great game as always, i would have liked even more endings, and it was completely different from what i expected from the demo, but i really loved the game spirit considering it a small game compared to the others, ending 2 was my favorite i think, but even the other endings where all good and there are some variation based on the choice made outside of the main endings, so it was still really cool!!! great job as always!!!!

Great job! good as always. I did feel that letting the nun go would lead to a more detailed confrontation with the church and I was a bit disappointed that it went nowhere. I feel that is something that could have been fleshed out more. (or other endings where she bases herself out of the church instead of the other places kinda like you did with the endings 2 and 3). But I love your games and keep up the good work!

I have always been a loyal fan of yours, but to be honest, I find it very hard to accept the quality of your latest work.

akasie No.1

First, the most serious issue is the character models—or perhaps the aesthetic direction. This problem started with Magic Wand and has only gotten worse in this latest work. Perhaps you wanted to enhance the realism of the characters’ appearances, or pursue a Western-style look, but it goes far too far. The models for Maho, Mary, and even Mina and Rumi overemphasize flaws in their appearance to the point (such as the wrinkles that make the characters look old and the facial features that lack feminine charm) where it is difficult to project sexual fantasies onto them, which runs completely counter to the point of this game.

akasie No.1

Even if I understand that these characters are meant by design to be unremarkable, ordinary women, as a player I do not want to see characters at that level of appearance in an H game. Moreover, even after these characters fall and become vampires—who are supposed to be beautiful—they still just look like ordinary people wearing makeup. (Though the outfits are as seductive as ever.)

akasie No.1

Another important point is that this work’s content is too simple. By “simple,” I do not just mean short playtime and little content; I mean it lacks storytelling and gameplay. 1. There appear to be eight endings, but in reality there are only three (human, vampire queen, and losing to Mary). Essentially there is only one storyline, and only becoming a vampire gives me any real content.

akasie No.1

2. The choices are vague. Early on, I cannot understand what effect they have or what ending they lead to, and in practice the choices have almost no influence on the direction of the story. Because of your previous works, I had expectations for some of the early choices—for example, the usual trope where people close to the heroine encounter evil and fall before she does—but all of that came to nothing, because no matter what I choose, I end up on the same storyline. 3. There appear to be many characters, but apart from Mina and Mary (and at most Camila), the others are tools with no role in the plot, no distinctive traits, and no personality. Maho, Rumi, and Nozomi are just MOB 123. In your previous games, I could find a favorite character in each one; in this game, I cannot find even one.

akasie No.1

Also, may I ask why you chose this particular image as the game’s cover? Mina actually looks better in the game itself. On the cover, my first impression of her was that she was a female security guard around 50 years old patrolling a school campus—it does nothing at all to entice people to open the game.

I would like to add one point to your comment. One thing I really admired in the previous works was how the characters changed as the story unfolded — their development/corruption felt so natural and well-crafted, and it added so much depth to the story, making the whole experience truly engaging (even without any textual description). In this new work, I feel there's still a bit of room for that kind of character growth to shine through. Either way, thank you for keep developing these good works. This story's framework and foundation are really solid, and I hope that with further refinement, it can become even more complete and captivating.

Lorissagg93

personally i agree only with this 3 points, you just said, still i think it was not "disappointing" but a "small game with potential", surely it could have been better, but it's still pretty good for a "small game", the focus on Mina and Mary i think it was fine, but i surely would have loved some more choices like, "if you don't take the teeth ecc. someone else do it" or more variant of "Camila wins", but i think it's coherent with the fact that only the protagonist likes vampires by default, for the choices instead yeah i too would have loved more variations, but it was said it was not a big game like the rest... so i don't think its right comparing it to the games before this one, personally i loved how Mary, Mina and Rumi changed, i would have loved a Rumi find and use the teeth or a Mary do the same tempted by it day after day like Mina, but still i think it would not be strange if more endings where added later if requested, and being a small game it's fine for now...

Lorissagg93

that's true too, from the demo infact, i thought the changes seen where only the first ones and that there would be the usual "change with time" maybe defined by our choice, if we talked to one character instead of another ecc that other character would talk to Camila and change more for ones, maybe we could have saved someone from changing completely ecc, but those were expectations i think, after all... Marsa always told us it would not be a big game like the previous ones, and people pressed a lot for the release from what i remember, so i think we got what we got, it's not bad, it's good, could have been better? sure, but it surely would have taken even more time to make it, still i agree that those transformation phases would have been a lovely addition to have

akasie No.1

Small choices triggering major route changes, and the same characters behaving differently on different routes, has always been one of the key charms of Marsa’s games. Losing this means losing a lot of their soul. Small scale is not enough of a reason: Magic Wand is also a small-scale game, yet it still delivered a fairly distinctive multi-route design. To use an analogy, if Magic Wand is a young, miniature person, then Darkness Blood is like a person missing their limbs.

I loved that there was more text and narration in this game! It added more depth and I always wished for it in previous games. because there was a lot of text game didn't feel short to me. This was the biggest charm of this game to me! When it comes to gameplay I prefered gameplay of earlier games where it was possible to explore the world in game more rather than just select text options. Text adventure feels a bit too limited. Human models don't look very good but on the other hand vampire models look very sexy/beautiful! I guess the tool used to create models has problems creating normal/plain-looking human models but no issues creating sexy ones. I really liked the gap between main heroine's human form and vampire form! Also I love development in corruption works where hero defeats the villain but later on ends up becoming even worse than the defeated villain.

Lorissagg93

i don't remember Magic Wand being a small-scale game, i remember it being an experiment thou, so yeah, it wasn't that big, but it was a normal game, and it had extra endings added to it after release if i remember right, anyway, i agree that there could have been more choices for different routes, but personally i think of it as an authorial choice to not have many different ones to keep the protagonist the only vampire enthusiast of the story, as i said, i would have loved a Rumi villain route, but i think i see the point of not having it, with that being said, i still hope for more endings in the future games with a flow similar to the previous works, and maybe some added to this one as well, but for now, try to think of it as a mid way between the usual games and one of the comics, i think it fits perfectly as a mid way between the 2 media Marsa released so far so as a small scale game i think it's fine

marsa

Thank you for your feedback! It really means a lot to me and is very encouraging.

marsa

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad to hear your thoughts. There are certainly many ways the story could be expanded, but if I kept exploring every possibility, I might never be able to finish the project. That's why I decided to present it in its current form this time.

marsa

Please understand that, for me, balancing available development time, concentration, release deadlines, and the quality I want to achieve is a very difficult challenge. If I try to pursue every idea and polish every aspect endlessly, I may never be able to complete the project at all. With that in mind, this was the better balance I could reach for this release. Thank you for your understanding and support.

marsa

In v1.0.1, I made a slight adjustment to Mina's expression on the title screen.

marsa

Thank you for your feedback! Designing characters is always one of the most challenging parts for me. Perhaps that's a sign that I still have a lot to learn when it comes to using Daz3D effectively...

Lurker

All in all I enjoyed this game and am really looking forward to your next work!🥰🥰🥰

akasie No.1

Trust me, I’m one of your most loyal fans. If even I find some of the issues in this work completely unacceptable, the people on DL will definitely find them even harder to accept. Personally, I would rather wait much longer to experience a work that is authentically in Marsa’s style, rather than something that feels like a fan-made doujin work by Marsa fans—that would be meaningless.
