This is something I was asked to do by a handful of people for a while, but at the same time I was a bit concerned if it wouldn't end up distracting from the tickling, and about how exactly I would make it work, maybe I could use color coding to signal who's speaking or something. I have no problem with writing stories to go along with the pics, in fact it has been my preferred approach because people who only want to see the tickling pics won't have to read the text, and whoever wants extra context can just scroll down and read the story, but given the recurring "Add text to the pics" feedback I got, I'm actually considering it.

I personally don't mind the current setup of having clean images and scrolling for more but I also wouldn't mind adding the text to the images either. If you're getting a lot of comments asking to do it, it may be worth a try at least if it isn't too much extra work. If you're worried about it being distracting, try playing around with it a bunch to see what works. Maybe a good middle ground would be to have the text be at the bottom of the image like subtitles.

You can do what I do but you'll need something like Mega for it. Have a text and no text version in the Mega or it's equivalent.

Hm... I would say I'm fine eith the current method, but if you wanna experiment with it, I'd say to test it out and see how you like it/ask for feedback.

When the images come with a story I'd love it if text on the image was an option

As long as the text is unobtrusive, maybe color coded to match the speakers and in a semi-transpartent text box, it could work really well, and also mean I don't have to scroll all the way to the bottom to see any dialogue that was written. XD

absolute improvement from my pov, I'd love a matching story to read and follow why scrolling the artworks. I already love the kind of stories you write by the end of the pack, but it would be much nicer for me to read it step by step from the pic each line refers to.

Yeah text would be a great. But if you don't feel like it'll work out, you can always just try it, ask for feed back and make a textless version aswell. Lots of other artists have done it so you check out their work for reference if you're struggling with it. Like Ydalfgan for e.g uses text boxes for explaining the premise and has text with no speech bubbles. But most JP artists will use speech bubbles. It's preference for what their comfortable with.

Adding text dialogue to images would be awesome, but not necessary imo. I think you do a good job of making a good story in the description of the post as is tbh. I do love you you get up close to the tickling with your camera angles, and text may take away from those shots, but for wider shots I think its an awesome idea!
