In an age when people set their sights on the vast ocean.

There lived a young female pirate whose father was a legendary pirate.

Like her father, she set sail in search of dreams and adventure.

But her journey was fraught with one hardship after another.

“Come on, it’s in your best interest to spill the beans now, don’t you think?”

“Ugh…!”

One day while out at sea, she was captured by a rival pirate crew and taken to their hideout.

The crew’s target was the treasure left behind by her father.

To extract that information, they bound her and hung her from a gallows built over a black tar swamp.

The ropes binding her were slowly released from a winch, sinking her feet deeper into the tar.

The pitch-black tar entangled her legs, devouring her without ever letting go.

Will she truly become the tar swamp’s prey…?

My second piece since resuming my activities is “Tar Swamp × Gallows.”

Like the illustration of Detective Cat, I had intended to draw this at the end of last year but fell ill and left it unfinished; I’ve finally completed it now.

The character in this piece is “Pirate Girl,” a new character following Detective Cat.

Female pirate costumes are just so cool, aren’t they?

I plan to post the next piece tomorrow as well.

See you tomorrow.
