Laila is an adventurer who travels while working as a courier.

The quest she accepted this time was to catch a rare fish living in a pond deep in the forest.

Laila had been looking forward to it, thinking she’d get to go fishing for the first time in a while, but she was quickly disheartened as soon as she entered the forest.

“I never imagined the ground beneath me would be a quagmire…”

At first glance, it looked like nothing more than dry ground, but it seemed that gray, clay-like mud had accumulated beneath the surface.

As soon as Laila stepped on the ground, wet mud gushed up from beneath her feet, and she sank right in.

When she tried to pull her foot out, the other one sank in as well.

“What should I do...?”

Will Laila be able to escape this swamp and complete her quest...?

This time, Laila finds herself in a clay swamp.

I drew this partly to use as a background for my original character introduction, but come to think of it, the first Laila I drew was also sinking into a swamp hidden beneath the ground I drew.

Surprise swamp scenarios really are the best.

Anyway, I plan to post again the day after tomorrow.
