The Trapping Device Was Still Working(EN) (Pixiv Fanbox)

Rika works tirelessly on her research day and night.
Today, she was spotted in an old laboratory building.
“I heard there’s an archive further down this hall.”
Her goal was to view a specific research document.
When she asked a staff member, she was told it was located in the archive of this building—which is rarely used these days—so she borrowed a key and entered the lab.
“There aren’t any ghosts or anything, are there…?”
As Rika walked down the hallway with a worried expression, a sudden beep sounded.
“Intruder detected. Containment system activating.”
“Huh? Eek!?”
At that moment, a pink projectile was fired from the barrel of a security camera mounted on the ceiling and struck the ground at Rika’s feet.
Suddenly, something resembling a pink puddle formed on the floor, and she sank into it up to her knees.
“…Is this a security system for intruders?”
Just as Rika had surmised, this was a security system designed to capture anyone who entered the laboratory building.
It creates a hole filled with pink slime at the intruder’s feet, immobilizing them.
The system, which Rika had thought had already been deactivated, was still active and had identified her as an intruder.
“It’s so slimy—I can’t move…!”
Rika desperately tried to move her legs, but the pink slime was incredibly sticky, and the more she struggled, the deeper her legs sank.
Will Rika be able to escape this trap…?

The final supporter post for August features Rika—who hasn’t appeared in a while—in “The Sticky Trap.”
Just like with Hinata, I realized I hadn’t drawn any swamp illustrations of her, so I asked the artist to handle this one.
I’d like to draw more scenarios involving capture devices like this, too.
Now, it’s been three months since my return in May. As for the patron-exclusive posts covering the period from last December—when I was on hiatus—through this past April, I’m happy to report that I’ve successfully completed posting all of them as of today.
I’m truly sorry to have kept my patrons waiting for so long.
From now on, I’ll do my best to continue my activities while taking good care of my health.
Starting next month, I’ll be posting about three illustrations a month, as originally planned.
Thank you for your continued support.
See you next time.
