Can you explain the transition between the third and fourth image; from the rough sketch to the beautiful, black line work? Do you trace over it with a pen on a tablet or something like a Wacom screen with a Wacom pen, or do you use vector graphics (like in Adobe Illustrator)? I'm curious about your process between the rough sketch and the fine, detailed lines in the next image. Thank you.

I use a simple Wacom tablet, working with different layers in Photoshop. I give the sketch layer a low opacity and then I trace the lineart over it on another layer. I use the sketch only as a guide though. When I trace the linework I do it much more carefully and take the chance to fix any problems with the pose and anatomy. It's amazing the incredible clarity you get from a pen and tablet in Photoshop. I thought for sure you were using vector graphics to get those amazingly clean lines. You are fantastically talented. Thank you for sharing that!
