Exclusive dev update of No escape: Game edition! (220) (Pixiv Fanbox)

Heya people, Scriptor here with the latest dev news bulletin!

Game development

I’ve implemented all the trap extensions into the game, with only some small fluff and debugging remaining for the Tier III release of V0.28.1 this Friday: Although only short extensions to the traps themselves, I do feel the traps are now a lot more enjoyable to fall into, feeling a lot like their own “mini fail-states” as opposed to a little extra found in certain areas. All in all I’m pretty pleased as how they turned out and I hope you guys will be as well: Small shoutout to both Nath and monkeybot over @Discord for making the suggestion (waaay back in August); was a good one! 💯

Anyhow the only thing that now remains before the release is adding some last bit of (kinky) fluff to the fantasy VR-world’s hub area and some debug runs to make sure this Friday will be a smooth release. As such I might be a bit hard to reach tomorrow (since I’ll be crunching to catch as much bugs as possible). In any case V0.28.1 of No escape: Game edition! will release 24th of November for Tier III, before 20:00 CEST.

Oh and before I forget, a small mechanical announcement before the release: Due to me switching persistent data plugins (the previous one was buggy), any persistent save data from before V0.28.1 will henceforth be incompatible. Big sorry for this, but it was about the only way to fix the issue (and a pretty major one); as some people were unable to properly access content inside the recall rooms that they had unlocked on a previous run. However to mitigate the annoyance caused by this I’ll be providing a fully unlocked persistent data file with the V0.28.1 release, besides the regular quick-start save. 💪

Final teasers of V0.28.1 this time around, showing off some of the new trap extensions! Meant as little “VR-world epilogues”, they show Kathleen’s life after falling victim to the trap. Ranging from being the new muse to some simping noble…
