Exclusive dev update of No escape: Game edition! (280) (Pixiv Fanbox)

Evening folks, Scriptor here with the latest dev newsssss!

Game development

I’ve been setting up the drider escape sequence scene, having managed to get a few renders done on it already as well: Taking place inside damp cave (since that’s where like 80% of the spiders chill, if it’s not under our beds or in our coffee mugs) the lightning and scene itself were quite a challenge. Since I want(ed) it to be a mix of “dark” and cool/cold lightning... while still not being “too dark” so that nobody can see what’s going on (since I know I had that tendency in the past). 😅

Still after some (or rather much) fiddling it feels like I’ve struck a nice balance in that. And after putting like a mile of rubbery “webbing” on the walls, rocks and pillars in the scene, I gotta say that the place now looks like a proper rubber drider den... Or at least as a nice “storage cave” in which they’d store their new catches; until it’s time to carry them over to the egg chamber to join the egg sacks’ ranks. >;3

Besides setting up the base scene itself I’ve also managed to pump out the first few images of the escape sequence itself, and I’m aiming to have the escape scene (together with the branching paths) completely rendered out by Wednesday. So that afterwards I can get started on the eight-legged ladies fail-state images! 🕸️

Onto the teasers!

Teasers

Kathleen: “Mfggghh! Wggghh fghh ghhmm ghhh?!”

Drider: “Oh egg sack, you know that I can’t understand a WORD of what you’re saying with your mouth webbed up like that. But what’s the matter, aren’t you comfy in all that tight, THICK wrapping of mine?~”

Kathleen:”FFghhh nggghhd!”

That’s all for this dev update peeps, see you all at the next one this Wednesday! ^^

Greetz,

Scriptor
