Exclusive dev update of No escape: Game edition! (331) (Pixiv Fanbox)

Evening peeps, Scriptor here with the latest dev news!

General news (health):

First the not-so-kinky (unfortunate) news, I’ve been sick for the past few days: Remember that cold I mentioned in the last dev post? Yeah it turns out that was just the prelude of the whole ride, since the same night things took a sharp turn for the worse. Leaving me bedridden/a zombie for most the Thursday and Friday. Really weird since every indication I had (health-wise) last Wednesday pointed towards a quick recovery... though that maybe goes to show that god punishes hubris quite quickly. 😅

Luckily (and I’m saying this while knocking on wood) it seems that since yesterday I’ve really started recovering; so today I’ve managed to do a solid day’s work again (which feels REAL NICE after being a useless heap of mucus for the last three days). Fingers crossed that I’ll make a speedy recovery soon!

(Tl;dr: Scriptor has been sick mess last week, but is currently recovering; back to working on No escape as per usual.)

Game development

I’ve fully implemented the “introduction” event to Ais’ playground today, together with the first two maps: Very much a flavor (and introductory) thing; it focuses mainly on dressing Kathleen up in her tight leotard suit... and explaining her how things work inside the playground, before sending her on her merry way (read: into the squeaky peril-filled maws of the maze). Besides this I’ve also done some misc. groundwork (minor but important stuff); things like making bust images for the dialogues, portrait images, tileset changes/retexturing...basically anything I could reasonable do in my diseased state. 😷

Plan for the coming week is to pick up the slack of last week and implement the entire “maze” section of the playground; expect me to announce the official E.T.A. for V0.33.1 next Sunday! (Again (spoiler alert): It will be somewhere mid-late Februari)) 💪

Onto the teasers!

Teasers

First up a new in-game teaser; this time of the introductory part of the playground! With Kathleen just finding out what her outfit will be while making her run through the place...and left to the player’s choice how she reacts to that. ;3

And two teasers of the Best Friends Forever side-project! Showing off Bambi in her play-outfit who’s quite pleased to see Christine in the Rug muncher ball...

...Though Christine herself is maybe a bit less “enthusiastic” about it. 😏😉
