September 2025 Greeting (Pixiv Fanbox)
Content
As September comes to an end, the sudden chill has set in, turning it into a season where we're starting to fear catching a cold while sleeping.
Everyone, please take good care of your health.
Starting this month, I've begun posting comics on fanbox.
I've received far more support than I ever imagined—though I suspect it's a first-time bonus, I'm deeply grateful and utterly surprised.
Since I myself tried running a fanbox for drawings in the past and it completely flopped... this time, I'll make sure it doesn't crash and burn, so I appreciate your support.
Now, for this end-of-month greeting, I'd like to chat about a little theme.
This time, it's "Why fanbox?"
As I mentioned earlier, I did try posting artwork on fanbox once before, but it fell apart spectacularly.
So why did I dive back in without learning my lesson?
To be blunt, it's for the motivation.
Fanbox runs on monthly plans, so it's easy to get into the mindset of "I'll do at least one thing this month." (Though the official line is not to stress too much about it.)
That naturally makes it crucial to gauge "how much comic I can realistically draw in a month."
For instance, if I get bogged down too long on inking, that's a problem, or even if the page count is manageable, if the panels are overly detailed, I have to factor that in or I'll overrun the deadline.
I actually enjoy keeping those kinds of things in mind, and this time around, I was able to power through the drawing process in a frenzy, heart pounding with "Will I make it in time!?"
Plus, fanbox is straightforward about it: "If you want to see it, join a plan."
This time, to my great fortune, someone actually subscribed to the storyboard plan the moment I shared the rough sketches.
That sparked a rush of "Whoa! Now I really want them to see the finished version too!" and lit a fire under me.
That moment was huge. Thank you so much.
No matter the amount, money is money, and the simple fact that someone paid to view it was the perfect trigger to get serious.
In the end, I think these two things—"a fixed one-month cycle" and "supporters who've shelled out cash just to see it"—struck the perfect balance for drawing comics without throwing in the towel or burning out entirely... that's how it feels to me.
The real question is how long I can keep this up, though.
I'll give it my all—wahaha.
To everyone who supported me this month, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Your generosity blew away all my doubts about "Will anyone even support this?"—I'm overflowing with gratitude.
If you wouldn't mind, and if you're still interested next month, I'd love your backing.
