Okay, I am SLOWLY starting to feel better and really need to get back to work on our main stories. I'll give Forever Home another chapter or two before Theo and Pip's happily ever after.

As I can't do it all, what hanky panky activities do you most want to see between them before the end?

I'm assuming the second to last option will win, but you guys have taught me that I shouldn't always trust my assumptions. I'll make sure the top pick happens, anything after that will be based on the flow of the story or what I'm feeling.

I'll leave this poll active for a day.

I was secretly hoping it would end with Pip helping Theo meet a new awkward girlfriend at the dog park. But I'm happy with where it's at now, though I do hope we don't get the second to last one. I know I'm in the minority here.

I feel like second to last is too quick progression for an inapt and someone who wasn't even considering this or showing an interest in this prior to the day he met pip

I actually agree, though I always feel like I'm letting you guys down if I don't have the characters go 'all the way' in these shorts. That was part of the reason why I put this one to a poll.

If you feel like giving these only the short treatment. You could always bring them as seasonal break. So it keeps them a semblance of coherence. I give more value to character coherence than the scene they depict

I respect the penetrative dedication! And although I love the characters and am happy to sit with them, I also feel like there's a reasonable version of this story where Pip's endearing easygoing attitude and effortless love of Theo breaks him immediately and they go all the way in 1-2 chapters. Puppy dog eyes and begging quickly luring Theo into a new experience with the strange woman who fell in love with him at first sight. I half feel that was sort of the point even, at least of the Golden Retriever girl character concept in particular. Dogs make love easy. So I personally at least wont feel irked by a speedy wrap up if the chicken soup story has done its job.

I know it was dredged up from a fever-soaked brain, but the basic premise put me in mind of people I knew with great passion for certain things who learned that their bodies would never allow them to pursue them - neurodegenerative disease, etc. But as they put it, in this economy most people cannot pursue their actual passions in life anyway - their inability just makes the implicit explicit. Seeing that brought them a certain sense of peace of mind which most of us lack, since so much of what we can and cannot do is unclear - whereas e.g. if you cannot walk a kilometer (without getting distracted) those limits remind you to appreciate what it is you can do within them Edit: my point is that however at peace with her situation the dog lady is, her... passion... has few outlets. She can hardly be blamed if one of them is unable to walk for some time thereafter
