Thus far we've followed Quin and Rosa's life literally day by day but I think I'm about to start moving time a bit quicker for awhile just to let things develop.  During this time I am tempted to have Rosa's demonic heritage begin to assert itself as she practices her magic.  I am torn however as she is pretty darned cute the way she is now.  I thought I'd check in and see what you all thought.

Should Rosa's appearance begin to change?

I don't know what the major changes consist in. So I can't reasonably vote for them. This unfortunately makes the vote flawed in my opinion. I might vote for them if I had any idea what they are, and I feel others will react the same. Edit: Unless it's just the third option changes combined.

Nah I'm just a dummy and read too fast. Regardless the only major change I want is wings (or bigger cock, which I always want at all times until my goldilocks range for futa cocks is capped.) If Rosa has wings she won't need to waste concentration on the fly spell.

I don't think I'll give her full flight (not without a lot of practice or magical aid or something). They'll be more aesthetic and probably fairly small due to her half status. This might be 90% a fapfic, but magic should always have a price in my opinion. Whether it’s because you’re cheating the laws of physics and the universe doesn’t care for that, or earth bound bodies aren’t adapted for divine power, something should reflect that Rosa is making the unreal real in a serious way. I know she’s not throwing fireballs or anything like a dnd wizard, but this seems to be a fairly grounded lowish fantasy world, and magic is rare for a reason in most of those

Rosa's in a funny place atm. She's not tapping or channeling magic directly, she's 'borrowing' it and making it dance for her. The cost might not be as steep for her in a system like you've laid out. Food for thought though, thank you.

She already went blind just from casting lay on hands once, and apparently once someone actually gets a hang of magic they are pretty consistently powerful. I think Grimbous can strike a balance here that doesn't retcon the magic or break the mood either. And I don't think every spell needs to be gimped to make that happen.

Oh absolutely, other then giving Quin and Rosa another obstacle to their relationship, I don’t actually think making magic crazy would necessarily add anything positive to the story, especially given that it’s supposed to be a moderately smutty futadom serial. I can’t help the part of my brain that is constantly worldbuilding and spitting out options the nanosecond it sees an opportunity though lol

I think you're just being hard on yourself, Grimbo. It's hard to beat a linear story about walking in an actual line while slowly increasing a single two person relationship's love-o-meter from random encounters in terms of its straightforwardness. The increased complexity in the sequel has been handled great so far. Especially in a porn work, getting someone to care about side stories let alone threading them well is a challenge. But here I'm genuinely interested in Aristocles, the politics of the city, and Toke's sad-boy deathquest. This despite the incredibly powerful motivating force of them not being futa porn.

I agree, Rosa being the way she is IS what got me so invested in this. Cute, gentle, caring, loving, and absolutely dominant. Change her too much and she loses that charm. But I have a lot of faith in Grim, always being able to feel their stories/characters and knowing how to flow into that (even when I initially have my doubts). Hell, Im not into fantasy at all most of the time but Slave girl is like my favourite story atm.

Hell yeah! I think Slave girl 2 is amazing on its own right. Of course it isn't the best couple all the time interacting as it was in 1, adding a lot more complexity with more characters and therefore more difficulty in organizing it all in a concise manner. All that considered, I think its coming along very well, and it somehow made me very interested in Cassie and Toke, even if they are next to best couple Quin and Rosa.
