Episode 2 Animated Preview - Ursa (Patreon)

Vaygren Bestiary

Ursa

Large, heavy mammals that primarily live in the forests located in the more northern regions of Vagyren. The massive furred beasts are incredibly strong and razor sharp claws. They are generally docile creatures outside of mating season, though if pushed to conflict, they are a force to be reckoned with.

AEBARD (Programmer)
Way early on, we intended for shots like this (and basically all the CGs in Episode 1) to just be flat stills. The camera would pan across them, sure, but it would've just been one single flat image.

But then I had to go and get it in my head that we could use Ren'py's 3D stage to get some depth, then maybe we could move some characters a bit, and suddenly these simple shots weren't so simple anymore....

CYBERUNIQUE (Artist)
Originally when I did this scene, I thought it was pretty good. But... now that it's been a while, my artist brain inside my skull might end up adjusting some areas on it.

Though as a wise man once said "if it's not broken don't fix it," so.... let see what happens.
