Your panelling always struck me as one of K6BD's strengths. I see creative layouts as one of the few advantages to telling a story through comics rather than any other medium (a great example is <a href="http://alessonislearned.com/index.php?comic=15)." rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://alessonislearned.com/index.php?comic=15).</a> What surprises me is that a lot of comics are very conservative (or perhaps unimaginative) in this regard, sticking to really basic arrangements and missing out on half the potential of the medium.
