UNIVERSE LEAGUE R1 EP2 ANALYSIS

It's interesting. I haven't watched the full episode but I have seen the performances from the episode and my choices there are different to my choices here from this full cam. It'll be fun to see if your opinion stays the same or changes after seeing the performances on the show. I've finally seen a fully subbed ep uploaded so I'm going to watch that and see what my opinion is after the whole show lol

Axcel

Can we get your upload schedule everytime you're going to upload new episodes of Universe League?

So the goal is no later than Monday (I take Sundays off to rest) and Saturdays have been Street Dance China days but I may end up moving that to an earlier slot here soon since Stage Fighter has recently ended! I'll make a fun post to help clarify weekly scheduled material!

I had a feeling that my picks would change as soon as I watch the episode... Plan is to take a watch at the beginning of the week to watch and refine! It's super interesting and I can't wait!

Thank you for the thorough insight as usual, Jess! I'm no dancer so it's always fun to hear POVs from the professionals that help enriching my experience observing the show and my favorite person there. Don't worry about hurting feelings omg I always appreciate your approach and mindset, impartial criticism especially constructive one is always good! I even hope Ten watch your input even here, subscribing to your Patreon because like he said in Get Real interview from Dive Studio, feel free to criticize him, because it helps him to improve. He'd go around asking for inputs from seniors like Taemin, Key, colleagues like NCT Mark, Johnny, and even fans during fansigns. He likes input & feedback as much as I do (that's why I like watching reaction/review videos). Groove is strong! Both here and in the actual performance that made it into the actual episode. Rhythm in the actual episode is also strong IMO, because they added small things not shown in this rehearsal (?) recording and obviously because of the editing too lol. I saw Ten pale & drained before rhythm started performing maybe after he saw this version of rehearsal too IDK. They didn't show Ten & Yangyang help with the choreo, they already have in-house choreographers & demo video for the new version. It looks like TenYang visited very early in their team's process, Steven hadn't even memorize the highlight lyrics yet. So their inputs seem to only be general advices. Unfortunately, WayV is in the middle of jam packed schedules during their promotion era for their new mini album. Or maybe the rest of their contribution didn't make it into the final cut, IDK. Beat team performance in the actual episode vs this version, not much gap IMO. I might remember wrong but your favorite zipped up guy from Boomerang team that didn't get picked by any directors got his little moment in this episode 🥹. Happy watching!! 💛 Oh and Ten's tattoos, actually if you zoom in, they're being brutally covered in big blotches of blank ink and little Xs 😭 (https://x.com/Fz_Fang/status/1799380418799792168)

Woah! I absolutely love your insights, Jess! It’s so refreshing to hear perspectives from someone who really knows what they’re talking about. Your take makes me view the show in a whole new light instead of just getting caught up in the online hype. Honestly, at this point, they should just hire you as a Director for the show. Haha! I really hope more people subscribe to your Patreon—it’s such a great way to help others understand what they’re watching. You always catch details that I totally miss, and I’m even thinking of checking out your other reaction videos for other survival shows because of how much I enjoy your content. I’m guessing most of the tracks will be reworked, and if I’m right, we might even get new tracks composed for the winning groups later on (just like what happened in the first season, Universe Ticket). I can’t wait to see your reaction to the full episode! You’ll get to see how they divided the parts, and there’s definitely some drama coming. Haha!

Happy 1001

This was such a delightful comment to read and I’m so happy to have you here Jea! I’m really enjoying the show and these types of shows get to grow me as an analyst but also as someone who works with performers that are around the age of these participants so it hits close to me!!! Looking forward to episode 2!!

OMG THE SPLOTCHES OF BLACK I CANT ON HIS ARM ☠️☠️😂😂 love that! And I appreciate your feedback because even though I don’t get as affected by harsh negativity like I used to, it’s still something I get very mindful of because I don’t want to be disrespectful to the actual participants involved. Thank you so much for your insight and I’m really happy that we were able to take a look at these prior to watching the episode so we can see the differences in the performance qualities!!! Gonna be fun!!

So I changed my banner at the top on the Patreon page to show what I look at right now! No specific days but my goal is SDC5 by Friday (my time) and Universe League by late Monday EARLY Tuesday (if the analysis runs LONG)
