Eh, on that one graphic, Yibo did not score 100 for Kyoka and Carlton's team, that was Vaness. Yibo scored Kyoka/Carlton at 98, Marco/Young G at 96, and Zyko/Siwen at 93.

Luckily I remembered what Yibo said in his score over the graphic so I remembered that he gave them a 98! I think it was interesting that he scored Zyko's team a 93 with Carltons team a 98 and higher with Algers! Similar to my case which I found fun!

For the most part Yibo seems to be pretty insightful in his judgements. He usually has a good reason for his scores...except if it's Bouboo!🤣 I think he had to do a lot of dance analysis as even though he was the maknae of his group, he was also the main dancer and was the one to instruct his older brothers in learning new routines.

Hmm. Maybe Youku changed the content of chapter 7. I remember when I originally watched this episode the mentor's short movies were not in here they were only viewable in the All Access section. Sorry if I gave you outdated information. 🫢

Thanks for the commentary! I always enjoy watching these shows with you as you find details I've missed or bring up questions I wouldn't have thought to ask. My favorite routines of the night were Kyoka/Carlton, Lucas/Algger, and Zyko/Siwen's piece. I definitely agree with the point of musicality. Mr. Wiggles said in an interview that the one thing that is holding back some of China's young dancers is that they memorize music and then dance, when true musicality comes from finding the rhythms and dancing with the music even when you don't know the track. I too would class Zyko/Siwen's dance as more of an showcase or art piece, not really street dance. It is still very beautiful though.
