Hey Jess! they explained the judging criteria at the beginning of the orginal video around the 17 minute mark. the dancer judges award points based on skill, formations and choreography, while the entertainer judges award points based on entertainment, expression and specialty. regarding the audience score, if we compare it to the current season where they decide 50% of the points, in this format they only have 20% (20 points from each of the 4 judges and 20 points from the audience). I think the reason you might feel it has more power or sway in the rankings is the fact that its presented last and has the opportunity to shake up the ranking (where as nowadays its the first score we see and they are usually pretty close) and the fact that there's a big gap between avex and all the other teams (none of the other teams have had audience scores over 15 so far).
