Celebrate was the first drop following their contract renewal! Both Once and Twice were feeling pretty joyous especially with the theme of celebrating being together :)

This song is pretty special because it was released like RIGHT after it was confirmed that all 9 members renewed their contracts (thus breaking the 7 year contract curse) so the lyric 'after all this time, were still together!' hit in all the right ways

An interesting little tidbit with the MV for Celebrate: there are many little icons and easter eggs from throughout their Japanese discography. # being used for their title track compilations. A bulldozer and Lovelys for BDZ. A racket for One More Time. A trumpet for Fanfare. & for the album &Twice which had Fake & True. A doughnut for Doughnut. There's probably more that i'm missing (I think there's a candy bong for Candy Pop).
