That was a fun first episode, I watched it live on TVing without subs, but wow re-watching with you those subs were horrrrible LOL. I heard Viu releases the eps maybe a bit later, maybe they'll have more accurate subtitles? And on the live broadcast nothing was blurred or muted so that was weird too. Also I'm surprised and glad they made the public vote count for so little compared to SWF. Not sure if the subs conveyed it much but Kasper got a much nicer edit here (being cold except when he meets Kooyoung), so I hope they're going to be a little more balanced with the editing this season. Next episode looks super exciting! With 400 dancers there are some well-known names, but I also saw some (especially the foreigners) whose only experience was like "I danced at my college festival once" lol so it seems like it's going to be a wild ride, and like you said the stakes are obviously different for them compared to the actual competitor directors. It also seems like there's some catch where they choose and steal each other's dancers, who knows. I noticed Babyzoo's voice sounded like he had a cold this ep, then I saw the next ep's preview and realized he just lost his voice probably from yelling/directing his dancers 😭And Simeez was whisper-talking too toward the end. In the future, I want to see Babyzoo and Minjun go against each other since their dancing styles seem similar in their own way (very powerful and in your face). And I want to see Hash and Simeez go against each other too because they both talked smack about each other (Lachica being unskilled and Hash being too high-brow) and they both are really good at formations and making pretty pictures.

Your point about popularity is so accurate im seeing so much discourse about biased voting in the ingyoo v bada vote but they simply cant comprehend how ingyoos dance is actually good technique even if the movements arent as big as badas, and how he doesnt share her physique. I hope this doesnt impact him because bada fans hating so much, they actually are close irl its mnet they should beef

The subtitle in my native language will be out every Friday on Viu, I’m not sure which platform are you watching the episode, but I feel like most of the subs were inaccurate. Whoever doing the subs needs to do a better job. 😭

Hi Jess, I'm back to watch SDF with you. I know you are unbiased and have no malice towards anyone so I can enjoy and trust your opinion. I do love that you enjoy Ingyoo's craziness like I do. Since you mentioned you've seen Kasper besides this show, I was wondering if he's always focused more om the upperbody movements? I keep hearing from all these dance shows that its harder for a taller person to look good dancing but we have Vata and Bada who breaks the norm. He's the first tall dancer I saw that his lower body movement looks awkward to me. Was it just to me? I'm just curious 😄

As a Bada fan, I don't hate Ingyoo. In fact I like him and his craziness but I feel the original choreos of both songs are way too strong that none of them could match it. I like Bada's version of Like Jennie more than Ingyoo's version of Smoke but that's probably coz Bada's choreo feels similar to the original Like Jennie choreo while Ingyoo's Smoke choreo is way different and I am a big fan of the original Smoke choreo so it's hard for me to like any other choreo unless it's really really good. But since Bada's choreo wasn't very different from original Like Jennie choreo and even though I wanted her to win I think it's fair Ingyoo won.

okay so before, i couldn't understand why ingyoo won but seeing your explanation of how bada made the choreo in similar style that ingyoo did while ingyoo made his choreo his own way, really opened things up.
