Hello all, TD here.

It’s late at night while I’m totaling this, so this diary will be unusually short and quick.

All told Chapter 4 Update 7 sits at 1,100 statics, 98 animations, and 25,822 words.

That works out to 167 statics, 19 animations, 3,744 words added to the project over the past three weeks.

Things are trucking along. The Veronica branch ended up being huge, like HUGE huge, so we put a pin in the Rosalind scene and got a bunch of minor scenes done over the past few weeks. We’ll likely be back to our mother-of-one before our next report, but we just wanted a change of pace from both working on sex scenes and the endless layered structure this part of the update has been designed around. It turned out to be a prudent choice; we’re feeling good, refreshed, and having a lot of fun.

We still cannot anticipate when the update will be finished, but once the end is in sight, you will hear it here. As always, thank you for enabling us to work on what we love. In many different ways, this project wouldn’t be what it is without you.

It's been a while, but I think the wait it's worth it. We trust both of you give us a very nice update once it's ready.

OK, easy

What is going on there on stage if all those old perverts have that look of shock on their face !??

So you actually took 6 additional weeks without even starting on the Rosalind scene, not even speaking about the main event? How long should this take, another 5 months, and then 5 more for the rest of the night? If so the entire exhibition update will clock in > 2 years then. I think some project management is needed, your initial goal was 3-4 months for the second part.

GOOOOOOOOOOd

tbh this update is kind of largely behind the anticipated schedule.

Bummer! She's the only gal I'm not crazy about, but now that she's out of the way you can focus on all the other fine ladies haha

I'm deeply sorry. We decided to pull the trigger on a certain plot point and that dominoed into a drastic change of plans. It won't take nearly as long to finish this update as you suggest, that you can be sure about. And it will pack a massive amount of content.

Hey guys! Would you take a custom video from Caitlin? If yes, how much for a 2-minute one? Please get back to me, thanks!

When you say six weeks, are you referring to me saying we were "working on finishing Veronica's side" on February 8th? I mean your point stands without quibbling over weeks, but the previous three weeks *was* us working on non-Veronica scenes. And I'm not sure what you mean by the "main event". We are in the middle of the exhibition, well after it started. The Rosalind/Veronica split is part of the exhibition. It takes place in front of the patrons after a whole other opening game. I get your confusion because I keep things vague in the dev diaries, but I think you are working under some misconceptions over the night's structure. Describing them as payoffs to their respective relationships probably did that, but it's a complicated layer of scenes. Depending on how game 1 goes, people will get either the Veronica or Rosalind scene regardless of the player's relationship with them. The "pay offs" I alluded to is built into that by the way the characters respond and treat each other during the scene. They're not side events to the main action. I'm not gonna argue against us getting lost in the sauce, though. I just hope people appreciate how vastly different the Veronica outcomes are.

I exaggerated with the expected development time of course, and let my frustration show I am sorry for that. From the dev diaries it appears you have a similar scene planned for Rosalind and this should be followed by a final scene, no?

helo138

And you don´t have to apologize for being diligent in your work. As I said it can be a little frustrating, waiting for what might be the best update yet, but the results will be worth it for sure. Thank you for your replies.

Although it's tempting to think about what-if scenarios - and I would like nothing more than a custom scene with Kathleen - the devs should stay focused on finishing the game first. Once they are finished, they might have fun putting what-if scenarios or an additional ending on top while preparing for the next game. One can dream.
