Becky Lynch is set for a world title cage match on WWE Raw tonight, but by this weekend could be wrapped up in WWE.

Lynch is set for a world title rematch on tonight's WWE Raw in the main event against Liv Morgan. As of this morning, Becky Lynch and WWE had not reached terms on a new contract, though the two sides had been in contact. We have not learned if a deal is imminent, or agreed upon, outside of that there hasn't been a new deal reached. We have also not learned on if it has any bearing on tonight's match.

Lynch's current WWE contract is set to expire on June 1, at which time she'll become a free agent unless a deal is reached before then. Lynch is expected by many in the industry to get the biggest offer of any woman in pro wrestling history.

I think she signs with WWE for a lot of money and on a favourable schedule that allows her to be with her daughter more often, but I can't rule out her going to AEW completely. They have lots of money, don't run house shows, and she'd only need to work a day a week, not necessarily every week. I'd only see it happen if WWE aren't willing to give her the terms she wants and AEW does.

I feel like she’s taking time off for some other career things or even getting her kid ready for school. She’s not someone who does “breaks” (her words) so I think she’ll re-sign once other things are in order. Hopefully back by Summerslam for my sake lol

I’m sure Tony Khan will be keen to make an offer. Even if she isn’t really interested in leaving WWE maybe she’d be tempted by a few guest spots to come in and work Forbidden Door/Wembley against any talent of her choice?

I don’t see her leaving WWE especially after Seth signed a new long term deal & she’s made it clear in multiple interviews if she doesn’t plan on leaving. I could see Becky Lynch doing what Johnny Gargano did back in 2021 when his deal was expiring choose not to sign a new deal to spend time with your kid & then return to company later in the year

With the contract about to expire, it would make sense for her to dip her toes in the free agency water and see just what AEW is willing to offer. Especially at a time when the AEW women's division seems to finally be gaining some traction. I think she does re-sign, but not before sees what is out there.

With Seth signing a new deal with WWE recently and them having a child together, I think the chances of her signing anywhere else is astronomically low.

Although I'd be surprised if Becky didn't resign, I won't insult other people by calling them delusional, etc if they think otherwise. None of us myself included know what she's doing or why. It's sad people can't discuss it without name calling.

She probably has resign, but WWE (in this new ERA) is about keeping secret and close to the vest. So I highly doubt their going to let it leak that she's resigned already, and are just waiting for June 1st (or before/after) to announce she's staying.

Not just for Becky but for everyone close to free agency, idk why you wouldn’t let the deal expire to see what the other side is offering. This isn’t like the NBA where your current team can offer more money on a max deal.

I agree that it would be a shock if she doesn’t resign with WWE. To play devils advocate though… IF she can make similar money on a lighter schedule working for a rival company, why wouldn’t she consider it and get more home time with her daughter?

If I had not read her book I would automatically assume she was re-signing. But I have, which makes either stepping away to spend more time with the kid or signing elsewhere a lot more likely than you'd think.

I don't think she's leaving WWE, but the husband angle in this honestly isn't much of a factor. She goes somewhere else, she'd be working one-two max days a week. That leaves plenty of time for family. Lot of people in this world don't work with their spouse.

It’s actually not uncommon for the AEW schedule to be harder than the WWE one now, as a lot of the roster do both dynamite and collision every week while WWE has gotten rid of a lot of the house shows.
