Hurt Syndicate Has Had Talks With AEW (Patreon)

A new, but familiar act has been in talks with All Elite Wrestling. 

A recent trademark has led to much speculation about the future of what was the Hurt Business.

Totally Harmless Concept LLC filed to trademark “The Hurt Syndicate” two weeks ago, after previously filing for trademarks on other MVP related phrases and names. We can confirm there have been discussions and even so plans to continue a faction similar to The Hurt Business outside WWE. Specifically, we’ve heard that AEW has had discussions with Bobby Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin in recent weeks. However, we’ve not been told that a deal was done or imminent. 

As we noted recently, Bobby Lashley’s deal with WWE expired. MVP and Shelton Benjamin are also free agents. We have not heard any involvement with tonight's AEW Tag Team Casino Gauntlet.

Bring them in as heels. Would love to see Lashley vs Miro finish up the feud WWE dropped the ball on. Miro and Lana have, or are, getting getting divorced, you have a new wrinkle you can throw into the story here and push the envelope. Wouldn't be opposed to Hurt Syndicate having a few other people in the faction too, and whenever Bobby fights, its a big deal.

It won’t happen I know but I would make the Hurt Syndicate Jon Moxley’s new faction and add Lashley, Benjamin and MVP to it and then you have a legit threat to the AEW stars

Or what about have both groups as dominate factions who collide next summer for major rivalry and culminate one of the major PPV's or Blood and Guts? Plenty of intriguing options.

I am not opposed to that I was just thinking to myself that the BCC as it stands are all WWE guys and if you add 3 more that is a intriguing option for the take over of the company and if they could have a Mcmastermind pulling the strings. That puts the AEW originals in a corner. However them on their own would be just as great because it opens up secondary storylines

Shelton and Lashley as a tag team would be a huge bump to the tag division in AEW... just have them come in and squash the bucks. that would be dope. Then add Lio Rush.

Does Tony really feel the need to sign seemingly every WWE wrestler? I’m a day one guy with AEW and I have no interest in seeing another WWE dude come in and take up television time from young talent that don’t get featured. I hate that I’m starting to feel that way because it annoyed the hell out of me when people would say that kind of crap about “All Ex-WWE Wrestling” There’s only a few people that you *HAVE * to sign if they come available and Lashley is not one of them.
