  • The Pointer Sisters theme is slated to be a regular theme moving forward.

  • Samantha Irvin and Beth Phoenix were both backstage at the show. Beth Phoenix lives in Asheville. PWInsider reported the news

  • Indie wrestlers Emily Jaye and Brittany Jade were at the show working as extras.

  • Those we spoke to were very happy with the production of the show.

  • As we'd mentioned in the past, WBD communicated to AEW that the Cincinnati Dynamite episode needed to be an important one for advertising reasons. That's a big reason it got a world title match and the "Maximum Carnage" branding.

  • Julia Hart working with Jamie Hayter and beating her has been planned for months, and we're told Hayter was eager to work with Julia.

  • Pac is overseas, and has not been in the United States for recent shows.

  • Cole Karter, Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, Brian Cage were at AEW Dynamite but weren't used.

  • Nothing was filmed after AEW Dynamite, but ROH was filmed before.

  • Fightful is scheduled to speak with Gabe Kidd tonight ahead of his Wrestle Dynasty match against Kenny Omega.

  • Swerve bladed on the show, in case anyone was wondering if it was REAL BLOOD

  • Fightful Award voting has closed, and winners and companies have been notified. After we gain some acceptance speeches, we'll nail down a date.

  • We've had a number of people asking about how to get Jimmy Van's book from the 2000s as a part of Fightful Select. You can at this link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/wrestlings-from-17402890

Any word on how long Pac will be off TV?

Ricky

Disappointed in the Dynamite theme song. Did like the crisp picture on Max, lighting was much better. Adverts I also wasn't counting on. At least get pip on Max. Lots to like but hoping they rethink the intro song. Does not fit.

LostRhino

I'm So Excited was just such a wild pull for Dynamite's theme I was sure it was just for Fight for the Fallen.

WT Harmon

Excalibur changed how he threw to commercial, so they knew Max isn't getting Picture in Picture. Is that expected to be the case going forward?

Terry Agallion

Can you ask what the max policy will be regarding ads in recorded episodes? Obviously live will have advertising but if I were to watch Saturday will it include ad breaks? Most people have Max as ad free.

Corey Moore

I really enjoyed how at least on my TV Max was in 4K Dolby Vision. Made the picture look amazing.

Flameducky

Is there a specific reason wbd is so focused on that maximum carnage show?

Glen Flanders

Hopefully the importance of Maximum Carnage is related to exclusive content on the Max stream. I would love for them to have sneak peaks that are exclusive to the Max stream, maybe another Superman trailer or something.

Probably gearing up for sweeps week. Want to have big viewership numbers leading into sweeps week in February

Not having anything after Dynamite is weird. That’s a solid hour of wrestling you’re no longer getting at the live show. I read only 2 matches were taped before which isn’t new. Hopefully they either bring back Dark or get that Shockeave show in place, or figure out something else to put after Dynamite. With the cost of shows, it really is missing that extra few matches for bang for their buck.

Or they should do some big name dark matches. WWE has done these for years. Could even go wild with Christian/Cope vs. The Bucks for the live audience or things like that. Give the crowd something big to leave happy with.

Baffled why they don’t book a big dark match for the live crowd. Or a dark match of any kind post show. Darby/Orange vs Jericho/Hangman

I feel he's off TV every other week, probably wrong but its more than once lately, which makes him part of the Death Riders story puzzling. He fits the part, but isn't there all the time. Isn't that part of the "reason" they doing their thing?

I woke up with that pointer sisters song rolling around in my head this will become a problem. Such an earworm

I would not be surprised to see her, but I don't think she will be a regular. Have her in Adam's corner when he eventually faces Mox for the belt. You can do some fun stuff with her and Marina without having an actual match. It would cover Beth's ring rust.

As many have said, the new theme is an odd choice. I literally said "Huh?" Used to kick off the new era on Max is fine, but every week? Too strange.
