A former world champion had what is planned to be his last match.

Christopher Daniels is effectively retired from in ring competition, Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp is told. Daniels lost to Hangman Page in a Texas Death Match, which is supposed to serve as Daniels' last match.

We've learned that Daniels had been looking to have his last match and officially retire for quite some time.

Daniels competed in AEW, NJPW, ROH, TNA, WWF, ECW, AAA, NWA, AJPW, NOAH, ZERO1, MLW, CMLL among a number of other companies.

Wow a bunch of accounts are getting terminated probably because 95% of wrestling media has no training, no credentials, no shame and it is why I say 2nd only to politics. Wrestling media has turned its consumers into a unintelligent fanbase due to the immaturity, lies and grifting of the product from people formally in the business who have trained the new breed of journalism and podcasters into being cancer to longevity instead of making it thrive

Christopher Daniels is one of my all-time favorite wrestlers. He and AJ Styles had an amazing rivalry, then teamed to become the “Phenomenal Angels.” So glad I got to attend the ROH ppv where he beat Adam Cole for the ROH title.
