Select Answers: Jeff Jarrett As Champ? Lance Anoa'i, WWE-TNA (Patreon)

Welcome to Select Answers, a short feature that provides some of the answers to questions that were posed to Sean Ross Sapp in the most recent Fightful Weekly Q&A Podcast. The show drops every week on Fightful Select for subscribers.

Have you heard if there are actually any long term plans internally to put the AEW Championship on Jeff Jarrett, maybe at All In Texas?

There are not. Jeff Jarrett has never been planned to win the AEW World Championship. He was instrumental in pitching the program with MJF, and his end of the promo in Cincinnati. That's expected to go on until Revolution, but was originally planned for much longer.

Any update on Hikuleo or Lance Anoa’i?

No word on Hikuleo other than that he's signed. Lance was signed last year but was sidelined with an injury in the summer. As of then, he wasn't expected to be cleared until at least February 2025.

Sean do you think that with this new partnership between WWE and TNA that they will end up like Evolve and Progress did?

I do not. If WWE wanted to purchase TNA, they would have. Progress is still alive and kicking, although WWE UK did inevitable harm to the UK scene. I think this will be good for TNA.
