  • Many readers contacted us surprised that Miz has his own bus. He does and has for quite a while, as do many talent. Most long term talent end up procuring one. His is just more noticeable because it was wrapped for Summerslam weekend in Cleveland as a promotional tool.

  • Fightful has a new series called SRS BTS, where we take a look at some of our biggest interviews and the stories behind them. The first edition is MJF, ahead of his AEW Revolution match with Hangman Page. You can watch it at this link: https://youtu.be/rVhjz4fr3zQ

  • The claim internally in WWE is that the barbed wire in Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn was not gimmicked or shaved down at the request of at least one talent.

  • Leyla Hirsch's AEW contract has expired and she is now a free agent.

  • We're told that the National Anthem being booed was something WWE absolutely planned for at WWE Elimination Chamber.

  • To be clear, Fightful, nor any outlet reported that The Rock/Cody/John Cena segment was "changed last minute." It was listed on the run third to help protect the secret of Cena's heel turn. This is why we mention "subject to change" when reporting them.

  • There was no producer listed on the Cody/Cena/Rock segment.

  • We haven't heard of any serious injuries coming out of WWE Elimination Chamber, but there were a tons of bumps, bruises, and scrapes.

  • We reported on the paid tier yesterday that Travis Scott has done some training as a pro wrestler.

  • Jade Cargill's new video that impressed many was teased on her social media in early January.

  • 2K held an event with a number of creators this past week that you'll see a lot of content rolling out for.

  • A reminder, Fightful Podcasts are on Apple, Amazon, Spotify, Podbean, Player FM and all other audio

  • Fighful now has an Espanol Twitter account, and will be rolling out an Espanol Select edition soon.

I saw Liv’s post on Twitter. Those bruises are gonna be around for awhile.

Craigory

McAfee was dreadful about the anthem is the company aware of a growing backlash to him

I ended up shutting the PPV off entirely during the second match because I couldn't handle his commentary anymore. Normally I like Pat in commentary, but he was insufferable on Saturday. Completely ruined the show for me.

Generally speaking, booing an anthem is unfortunate. Even as an American though, I can understand why in this case. Years ago they never did both anthems in Canada (IYH CS, IYH 4 for example) so perhaps they would have been better just doing the Canadian one.

Why is it when WWE does a PPV on Saturday you don't have anyone covering and reviewing collision those nights. Many of us don't give a Flying F what WWE is doing and we want AEW reviews and post shows.

Well Raymond, the reality is, most people don't give a flying F about Collision the nights WWE DOESN'T air, and that reflects in our numbers. It's a big money loser that night, much less on WWE nights. We can not operate on a constant loss
