WWE LFG has been renewed for season 2, but with some changes.

It was revealed that upcoming WWE Hall of Famer Michelle McCool will replace Mickie James on the series, leading many to question why that is happening.

Sources close to A&E production claimed to Fightful that The Undertaker was instrumental on getting his wife on the show. The claim from that those close to the series say that Undertaker was open to continuing the show if Michelle McCool was involved, so she was brought in to replace Mickie James.

It is important to note, that we have not heard anything claiming that Undertaker specifically wanted Mickie James off the show or wanted Michelle McCool to actively replace Mickie James. Just that he wanted Michelle involved.

I don’t know how I feel about this! I feel for Micky!

Aldis to take out Taker ahead of mania!

Flameducky

That doesn't work for me, brother

Joshua Moore

Bless it! I feel for Mickie because I’ve loved her on the show so far. Hopefully she signs a contract for one last run in WWE leading to her being inducted into the HOF

Ramon Atkins

I didn't even have to open this to know exactly what the deal was

Sheila Antonio

Was it too much to have another woman coach or ..

Shannon Willis

Mickie always getting the short end when returning to WWE in almost any form.

Thought Taker & his wife were against DEI

Fletcher DeRouen

Taker sucks as a human, tracks that he would also politick for his wife to be on the show lol

Andrew MacDonald

So a wrestler who worked at every level of pro wrestling since the late 90s, doing the stripper style indies like WEW, ROH as a valet, TNA as a henchman for one run and a champion in another, working in both the WWE divas and modern eras. And she's replaced by someone who was in WWE for 8 years and didn't wrestle too much during her first 3.

Don't know why Mickie went back in the first place after the previous regime fired her and dumped her stuff in a bin bag. Maybe it was going to be better with her partner in the company.

Troy A Palek

This isn't the least bit surprising. Hope you are feeling at least abit better SRS.

John Horton

Gee, I wonder who got her in the HOF despite being the face of one of the worst eras of the WWE women's division.

Michelle McCool is a DEI hire and a nepotism favor hire. At no point has she been anywhere near the talent of a Mickie James, what is she going teach these people?

ProdigalGeek

Exactly this I suspect. When your partner is also an employee, you’ve gotta make decisions with both in mind. Saying no to a return may sour them on him.

ProdigalGeek

Exactly this! The implication seems to be that Taker didn’t ask for or expect Mickie to be replaced. But I guess even in 2025, some things don’t change for women in wrestling

Laquita Momon

Why should it have been one or the other? Why couldn't they both do it? Either way, it's blatantly obvious he's the sole reason why this happened.

Sometimes I wonder if the trash bag incident even happened or if I made it up in my head lol
