AEW Revolution SCOOPS THREAD (Patreon)

Welcome to our AEW Revolution SCOOPS THREAD. This will be updated throughout the show.

Kenny Omega let AEW know months ago that he would not be wrestling at AEW Revolution. There is still a possibility of Omega appearing on the show.

At one point, Kenny Omega vs. Swerve Strickland was considered for AEW Revolution, before it was made clear Omega wouldn't be wrestling. They made the pivot to Swerve and Brody King.

Omega is immediately back in the fold in AEW and could be wrestling on Dynamite within the next couple of weeks.

For some reason we've still been getting inquiries about AJ Styles appearing at Revolution. He's not. He isn't planned, and isn't going to be there.

Those we spoke to in AEW were very happy about the ticket sales for AEW Revolution, which hit over 12,000 and a $1 million gate. It's the second biggest Revolution ever, after Sting's retirement.

Don't be surprised if you see AEW Revolution take a big step up in importance next year.

Regarding the rumors and discussion of Kris Statlander's contract, we haven't particularly heard anything regarding that when we asked this week.

We also haven't heard anything to Mercedes Mone returning tonight. She dropped another title this weekend.

Those that we spoke to in AEW said that they're excited to see the reception to MyAEW internationally tonight, and that this will be a big day and test for the service itself.

There has been talk of some long absent talent popping up in AEW in the coming months, we're told.

Switchblade Jay White did what he does every time an AEW PPV happens, and teased a return. We have not heard anything regarding that, but he trolls about it often.

Tatevik had her first match in AEW since being signed months ago, but is backstage at AEW quite often.

Don Callis IS in Los Angeles and at the show. He appeared for VIP guests before the show in disguise as a wrestling fan, asking dumb questions at a Q&A. Really

Nobody we spoke to in AEW would confirm that Ronda Rousey is signed.

It was claimed that Takeshita was busted open hardway.

There were audio issues that took place between HBO Max and Apple TV. It wasn't an AEW issue.

Freddie Prinze Jr and comedian Jeff Dye were at the show. Wayne Brady was hanging out backstage after his spot.

The Andrade girl was singer Paula DeAnda

BETTING ODDS

While MyBookie doesn't have AEW betting odds yet, we're working to make that happen.

Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita were razor thin in odds throughout the week. Moxley moved further ahead towards the weekend, but as of this afternoon they were completely even in the odds.

Young Bucks started as a slight favorite over FTR, then those odds widened quite a bit.

Andrade El Idolo is a healthy favorite over Bandido.

Swerve Strickland is a heavy favorite over Brody King, as is Thekla over Kris Statlander. Swerve's lines moved even heavier towards the weekend. Thekla and Statlander started at close odds, and Thekla moved to a massive favorite this week.

Don Callis Family are the biggest favorites on the show, after starting as a much more modest favorite.

Deonna Purrazzo

Fightful spoke to Deonna Purrazzo for an interview at Wrestlecade that will finally release this week.

We spoke about her SNHU commercials, which she said inspired a "Purrazzo in Picture" pitch that she wanted to do. She said that she made that pitch to Chelsea Green as well and Chelsea loved it. She's happy that the SNHU commercials have encouraged people to go back to college and continue education.

She still loves the idea of teaming with Taya as the Vendetta in the AEW tag team division, but said that she would also love to team with Dr. Britt Baker DMD. She pointed out the history they've had and their long standing friendship. She would also love to work with the Renegades, and says she and Charlette look like alike than Charlette and Robyn do.

Purrazzo said that working with Wendy Choo early in their careers, it was obvious that Wendy was going to be something special and make it wherever she wanted. She also said that Steve Maclin's brain doesn't stop with wrestling and she has to make him turn it off sometime.
