NEWS!
'Kevin Knight confirmed our report that he signed a new multi-year AEW deal.
It was confirmed to us by AAA sources this week that Bodyslam's report was correct and Niño Hamburguesa was let go from the company after an incident with a fan.
We've asked a number of times about Johnny Gargano and have just been told he's "firmly under contract" with WWE at this moment. That doesn't mean much, but that's what we were told.
We're told Royce Keys got scanned in recent weeks for WWE 2K26, ahead of his announcement that he would be in the game.
While former NXT UK talent Amale was spotted in the crowd during a recent episode of Evolve, Fightful's Corey Brennan is told she was just visiting.
Excalibur missed this week's AEW Dynamite with an illness.
We've followed up Bodyslam.net's report that Nikki Blackheart had signed with WWE. Nobody would confirm it as of yet, but the company has had their eye on her.
Those we spoke to in WWE were happy with the quick turnaround of Danhausen. Most in the company knew that the debut was a flop, but said that the situation didn’t rattle him and he responded well.
As mentioned yesterday, Tyra Mae Steele is still with WWE. She was tweeting about a dream she had, which confused some. There were some on the roster that were also confused as to why it got posted, but most felt it was just a harmless miscommunication.
Referee Dallas Edwards' girlfriend issued the following comment after his scary spot on OVW this week:
"Please keep Dallas in your thoughts as your day begins. I am not going to provide much more information at this time except to the parties who already know, but last night resulted in a brain injury that is being monitored and will continue to be monitored by doctors here. Seeing all the support you guys have already given is amazing and I didn’t want to leave everyone without some kind of update."We're told Dallas is in the hospital and recovering
wXw 16 Carat Weekend Notes
- We are told that despite the hectic schedule of the weekend, no talent came out of the events with an injury.
- Despite some changes to the cards in the weeks leading up to the weekend, we are told that the attendance for the weekend as a whole was up in comparison to next year’s event.
- We were told that there was almost ‘no travel issues’, with Ricky Sosa and Dani Luna both making it in time after coming ‘straight from’ appearances with TNA.
- A full documentary by Brian Zane was taped surrounding the weekend, with wXw sources happy with how that came together.
- The fact that Japanese talent from multiple promotions worked on the same cards was something that was brought up as ‘not a possibility in Japan,’ with those we spoke with being thrilled to have the talent on board.
- While we asked about the return of the wXw women’s title with Jane Nero bringing the title out over the weekend, we were told that there is more to come on that in the near future by those we spoke with.- We were told that Naito’s booking, including his clean pinfall loss over the weekend was long discussed within the promotion.
DEBUNKATHON
Brie Bella claimed that online haters have tiny wieners. We can't debunk this.
There is no "rule" that Cody Rhodes broke last week. Sportskeeda clickbait trash.
Drew McIntyre is not "leaving WWE." Sportskeeda clickbait trash.
Wrestling Pulse is another one of those shitters. No insight at all.
The Rock has not been mentioned for WrestleMania for anyone we've spoken to.
