AEW Star Gets New Contract Way Early (Patreon)

A quick-ascending AEW star is locked down long-term.

Thekla made waves in All Elite Wrestling, quickly winning the AEW World Championship from Kris Statlander (NOT JAMIE HAYTER!). Her performances have gained positive reviews in the company, as indicated by her rapid rise to the the AEW Championship, and she's not going anywhere any time soon based on what we've heard.

Figtful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that Thekla recently re-signed a new multi-year deal with All Elite Wrestling. We've not heard the exact length as of yet, but there is a particularly interesting wrinkle.

We're told that Thekla had originally signed a two-year contract with AEW upon making the jump from Japan. However, AEW was so happy with her performance, they made the move to sign her to a new, multi-year deal not even a full year into the original deal.

Thekla used representation to complete the deal.
