Welcome to Select Answers, a feature that provides some of the answers to questions that were posed to Sean Ross Sapp by our subscribers. This week we have a special series of them that are exclusive to Select Answers, and weren't on our Q&A show.

When aggregating these posts please refer to it as "Fightful Select Answers Q&A" and tag Fightful, noting that it was in the Q&A format to avoid confusion. We would appreciate aggregators specifying that these were questions posed by subscribers, as opposed to us just reporting archived stories for the sake of it.

I saw that David Benoit was at the Edmonton AEW Dynamite. I remember him mentioning he wanted to be a pro wrestler. Whatever happened to that and is there still a chance?

I guess there's always still a chance, but I wouldn't count on it. Obviously he's been through a lot and has a lot of complicated emotions regarding his father's history, so we won't even get into that. I'd heard he went to Lance Storm's school briefly and was not quite the natural that h is father was. The people that I spoke to said he wasn't there long and that it didn't seem like pro wrestling was for him.

Even before that, Smith Hart tried to book him for a show without any formal wrestling training. However, Chris Jericho caught wind of it and urged David to not do the match. Chavo Guerrero pulled from the show as well after being scheduled to team with David. Had Jericho not intervened, things could have been really bad.

He did do an interview with Chris Van Vliet were he spoke very candidly about his life, and does seem to really enjoy watching wrestling and being around at shows. He's always been welcomed at WWE and AEW from what I've heard.

He's 33 or 34 now, so I wouldn't expect him to just jump into the business.
