Tessa Blanchard is now done with TNA, but isn’t quite a free agent.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that Tessa Blanchard had secured her TNA release recently. In speaking with sources, there was a conflict between who wanted her to make a choice to prioritize TNA or CMLL. Many were actually surprised that she was able to continue doing both as long as she did, but ultimately CMLL provided her the best overall options.

CMLL books Tessa Blanchard more, and paid more based on what sources claimed. It was claimed within TNA that they were going to rework her deal to offer her more money due to that. Those that we spoke to in TNA said there was no bad blood, and they understood that she had to make a business decision, and she’d had to miss some CMLL dates to make TNA obligations in the past.

Sources familiar to the situation claimed that Blanchard was under a three year deal with TNA, so they ended up letting her out about halfway through the contract. There were commenters mentioning MLW as a possibility, but we’re told as of now, they haven’t had contact with Blanchard and haven’t in years.

We’re told that Blanchard also preferred how she was used in CMLL creatively.

CMLL sources we spoke to said the company is getting very particular of their talent – even non-contracted – promoting “competing brands.”

Is she going to get involved at Forbidden Door? Will she make AEW and ROH appearances? What does Tony Khan think of her?

Hopefully not after the stuff that came out about her actions in the past

All she has to do is take accountability and a lot of fans would flock back to her. If she hasn't yet, she won't until she writes a tell-all or something, imo. We do call it #lolTNA for a reason. Makes me wonder if the AMC deal paid off past debts, instead of enhancing the product in any way. According to Joel, the camera work has been noticeably sloppy as of late.

If she has apologized to the person it was owed to and that person said okay, then the issue is squashed! Tessa does not owe you, me or anyone else a damn thing!
