Big Bill is leaving AEW

Fightful Select reported earlier this year that Big Bill’s AEW contract was coming up during the Summer. Fightful Select has confirmed that his deal is up over the next week. In addition to that, Bill officially gave his notice to All Elite Wrestling.

Big Bill is poised to return to WWE, where he performed as Big Cass for a number of years. In addition, plans call for Enzo Amore to be signed by the company, though he wasn’t officially inked to a deal as of mid-June. The word from within WWE was that the company wanted to make sure to wait until Big Bill was free and clear and sign both wrestlers.

We're told this has been in the works for quite some time.

We will have more on this soon.

Good report, and you can’t teach that

Good for Bill, hopefully their run will be as hyped at Danhausen. Cause Bill ain't sawft!

The grass isn't greener in wwe. The nostalgia act will where off in a few months

David C

Probably a decent move for him.

Flameducky

Vince dropping the ball on Enzo and Cass the first time is still insane to me. Man lost his touch for seeing what can draw money after 2005

RIP Large William

Manton

May WWE book Cardiff soon

Abby

Can she even wrestle anymore. I know she said her drop foot is quite bad from her first baby

Raymond Slover

Interesting leaving AEW while his wife works there

Rob Iapicca

I think both are much more mature now, so looking forward to seeing it... time will tell, though.

It's not about them, I'm sure they have matured. It's about WWE and how they're creative is. They would get a good 2 month push then that's it. Mcmg Ring a Bell?

Brian Moore

I think it'll work for them. The tag division in WWE DESPERATELY need a shot in the arm and Enzo has a million catchphrases he can get over with the crowd

Adrian Preece

AEW didn’t do enough with him the past couple of years, dude was over with the live crowd even after the Jericho stuff… wish him all the best

Bobby Decibel

I will miss seeing him ( I don’t watch WWE) but this move makes sense. He’s been flailing in ROH and it seems like TK didn’t really know what to do with the guy. He will get a nice fat payday and I’m sure the door is probably open if he ever wants to come back. Best of luck, Bill!

You AEW fans are insufferable. Goes to show you’re a fan of a promotion and not professional wrestling.

Who said I was a AEW fan? I enjoy all wrestling I'm not a tribalist, that's lame in 2026. I remember the old Enzo and Cass, and I felt like they ended too soon. It'll be nice to see them back, but let's not act like WWE is firing on all cylinders right now. They just released so many great tag teams and now they want to rebuild the division? Smh
