Tons of MLW news: Why their show moved, new stars, Womens division, CONTRA, more (Patreon)

MLW has moved their show in October from Philadelphia to Atlanta

In what has become a recurring theme in wrestling, we're told 2300 Arena in Philadelphia owns and operates the box office system and controls sales and payouts. They are supposed to pay companies within days of our event. MLW's event was in mid June.Fightful heard about this same issue with 2300 Arena happening to NJPW, ROH (Sinclair era) and others. MLW is exploring legal options and is likely to pursue them.

Josef Samael’s return to MLW fireballing Mads Krule Krugger on MLW Fusion this past week was indeed Krule’s final match in MLW. He left the company in recent months after the tapings. Plans to bring Josef Samael back on screen in the pivotal role as CONTRA’s leader have been in the mix since January. We are told that "The Serpent” storyline was always intended to pay off with Josef being the reveal at the right moment. MLW wanted to wait to rebuild CONTRA, which they felt like would take some time. Samael returned to the company last fall behind the scenes as the head of talent relations. MLW sources say they are in active talks with some top female talent about coming in as they continue to add to their women's division. They have been bringing in new joshi talent regularly as well. Austin Aries has been down in Mexico for MLW the past week at CMLL. Fightful spoke to him for an interview at the Philadelphia tapings. Doc Gallows’ son, CJ, will be making his MLW debut soon.
