Following Grayson Waller's NXT Championship win at Heatwave, WrestleVotes on Fightful Select was told that the decision to put the belt on Waller came together pretty quickly after it was decided to move him from Raw to NXT.Once Shawn Michaels got clearance that Waller would be headed back to NXT for the foreseeable future, the idea almost immediately was to get the belt on Waller. WrestleVotes was told that there are a number of people who see a lot of upside in Waller as a top heel.As for Tony D'Angelo, we're told that the title switch is not an indictment of him. As for D'Angelo's future, after checking in with some main roster sources, we've learned that D'Angelo's name has not been discussed for a call-up. D'Angelo is set to wrestle on the September 8th NXT in a six-man tag.

Also, Bronson Reed's return is considered very close. WWE creative has reportedly determined a direction for his return and what his comeback will look like.As previously reported on WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, Reed's name has been gaining traction for several weeks with the expectation that he'll be coming back into the fold as a top-level heel. We're told that those plans have progressed.Reed visited the WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, and we're told that was a strong indication that the company remains committed to featuring him prominently when he comes back. Reed's visit to WWE HQ included filming promotional material and going over merchandise concepts and revisions.The amount of attention put into Reed during the visits was viewed as a positive sign for his place in the company's plans. WrestleVotes is not aware of the exact date for Reed's return, but the expectation from those we've spoken to is that it's happening very, very soon.
