Regarding TKO President Mark Shapiro's comments about a potential WWE-Disney partnership for 2027, WrestleVotes on Fightful Select reached out to a source for additional context.

We're told the Disney discussions are not new. WWE has been interested in exploring a relationship with Disney since before the ESPN deal came into play.

While nothing is official, to the best of the source's knowledge, we're told that discussions have taken place about more than just WWE-branded events happening at Disney properties in Orlando, Florida. One idea is using the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which has a 9,500-seat arena that could be used for WWE events and potential 'festivals' or larger fan experiences. We're also told WWE has considered concepts similar to ESPN Fan House.

A source also SPECULATED that a WWE-themed Disney cruise line experience could make business sense down the road.

We're told that WWE talents are expected to begin appearing on Disney+ programming over the next year.Vision/Oba Segment ReactionWrestleVotes on Fightful Select was told there was definitely backstage chatter amongst personnel following the segment with Oba Femi and The Vision faction on the September 7th WWE Raw, specifically about Femi brushing off Bronson Reed when Reed put his foot on Femi's back. We've learned that moment was not written into the segment, and it caught some backstage off guard. WrestleVotes asked around and was told that people caught it, and some of them did not like it.

Oba is a special talent so I REALLY hope he isn't getting a big head

oba is a demon that’s too real for some of those folks backstage

Flameducky

If his character can't survive having a boot on him than he shouldn't have been booked to be beaten down in the first place

Brother it’s fake fighting. nobody there is a demon he’s a shot putter

Oba taking tips from his idol piss man. Fr tho, if you are getting an ego at 28 and not willing to sell an attack or look weak for a moment then ur in the wrong profession. It’s a team effort. Hes not Roman level talent or seller to be acting like that. Stone cold got literally crucified on TV. They should address that attitude backstage before it bleeds on to tv anymore.

I understand Oba’s general instinct, but I agree with the majority of commenters here. Dude has to sell this stuff. Oba put his foot on Brock Lesnar not too long ago, so I’m sure he understands how all of this works. I’m pretty sure Vince would have jobbed him out a few times to bring him back down after an incident like this
