WBD and Bleacher Report have nailed down a deal of sorts with WWE.

Bleacher Report has secured rights to WWE highlight clips as they look to expand their coverage. Fightful spoke with a WBD source familiar with the deal and what it means for them, as well as All Elite Wrestling.

The source brought attention to the fact that Bleacher Report has numerous content deals and this is another one that they can sell against and monetize. They said the same about the AEW content they had rights to, and clarified they still work closely with AEW. The source said they believe it will affect AEW positively because WBD will have more resources dedicated to wrestling.

Bleacher Report is said to have gained some additional ringside access through this WWE deal

This is not expected to affect conversations around an AEW TV extension, which talks wouldnt even happen for quite some time. AEW is signed through 2027 with a one year option for 2028 on the WBD side. There is a WBD- Paramount merger looming, which AEW founder Tony Khan has publicly and privately conveyed excitement for. Paramount brands broadcasted ECW, WWE and TNA in the past.

Excited for a media monopoly? Only power-hungry billionaires and the ignorant think that is a good idea. Shame on TK.

He is excited for the chance tk potentially reach new audiences and I think we are using the term monopoly way to loosely here
