Was it possible that AEW was ever going to bring in Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander or Uhaa Nation. I think they’re all phenomenal wrestlers and Mustafa Ali especially would thrive anywhere he goes.
I haven't heard of any serious talks with any of them, but I think every single one would fit. Mustafa Ali needs to ascend to the main event scene in TNA at this point, and I think they should make him a major part of that brand. Uhaa spent over a decade in WWE, and has only wrestled twice since leaving. Cedric not only wrestles in TNA, but also gives feedback on the tryout matches.
What's the one move that has gone out of fashion that you'd love to see return? just standard move, or even finisher? Missile Dropkick, an X-Pac like spinning heel kick for me. I'd love to see Big Cass use a Test like Big Boot as a potential finish
A DDT. Just a regular ass DDT. It's my favorite move of all-time and I think it could be a finisher again. I also never see shoulder breakers any more. Either version of it. The Human Torture Rack as a finisher would be another good one. The only person I've ever seen do the X-Pac spinning heel kick like he did it was Jessamyn Duke, and she doesn't wrestle anymore.
On the contrary, I'm glad that the bear hug is gone. What a dumbass move that was. Almost every high flying flippy move is more plausible than a bear hug. You're just not gonna strike your way out? Come on.
Elanya Black recently said that she wants to go back to AEW. Do you think that's possible?
Well, to be clear, I haven't heard her say that at all recently, so if someone has, I'd love to see that quote. I know she talked about it last Summer. From what I heard, there were no overtures between she and AEW. There were originally some claims that she skipped AEW extra work for her WWE tryout or something like that years ago, but when I checked with someone at AEW, they said there was no issue stemming from anything like that. I just don't think there's a great fit there.
