Content

(STARTING AT 11:10pm EST)

Vince is back in charge, and you'll never convince me otherwise.

The Raw after Mania featured a Surprise Brock Lesnar Tag Match, KO & Sami vs the Street Profits, new Women's Tag #1 Contenders, Bad Bunny getting put through the announce table, the return of Matt Riddle, and LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE.

Okay, having written all that out, it doesn't sound too bad, but trust me, it was AWFUL.

But Vince isn't in the weeds. Sure he's not.

Everything sucks. Let's talk about it.

There was a point where the negativity from the “Everything Sucks,” podcast on here was so unbearable that I unsubscribed for about a year despite the fact that I could just not read the description or listen to it…. Today though, an entire podcast by this name regarding this episode couldn’t be more deserved… One of the worst RAWs I can remember, I texted my friend with a similar immediate take… “Vince is 100% back in charge.”

In a whole commercial free hour all we got was a HHH thank you speech, Rhodes/Bloodline promo, an Omos squash, and a Rey thank you speech/Theory interruption. They progressed the Dom & Rey feud inserting Priest & Bad Bunny, which I don’t mind, it’s neither good or bad. A mid women’s tag match that further buried Damage CTRL (HHH was kinda already doing that despite it being a culmination of his NXT babies, but this extent HAS to be Vince). Seth Rollins just coming out, so the crowd would sing then disappearing. A Lashley squash match. Then, a main event match that never happened I have no quarrel with a Rhodes/Lesnar feud and match. Actually, I’m excited for the eventual match. It just feels random. Brock isn’t going to get into contention from this and Rhodes already has a legitimate gripe for to contend again. Making it feel like more Vince going “Know who I don’t care for? Cody. You know who I FUCKING LOVE?! BROOOOCK LESNAAARRRR!” Oh yeah, and Rhea and Belair cut a promo about the match they aren’t going to have together anytime soon sending neither of them in any particular direction. So, in 3 hours we got 2 meaningless squashes and 3 matches… That probably took up about MAYBE 35 minutes combined and barely 2 storylines progressed. And a bunch of promos that did nothing.

I can’t remember feeling this dejected after a wrestling show ever. It’s not only that it confirms a worst case scenario - but having a this so brief period of no Vince now just feels like a cruel joke.
