The WWE Draft was set to happen late last year, but then got moved.

A draft that would have effectively reset the rosters for the new Triple H regime was rumored late last year, however talent were told that it was being moved to an undetermined time in 2023. However, Fightful Select can confirm that unanimously across over a dozen talent on the WWE roster have not been told that a WWE Draft is coming, or when it could even be.

There were numerous WWE talent that said that in discussing it with others, they "just assume it would happen after WrestleMania" as it did many times in the past. As of Friday afternoon, talent still hadn’t been told about one.

In the past, sources at both Fox and USA Network had told Fightful that they primarily prefer distinctly different and separate rosters in order to specialize their investment. However, since the Triple H regime took shape, we've heard much less of that.

Came here to say that too, because I have no idea what he’s going to talk about unless he’s pulling a Vince from the late 90s and this being his “bad guys vs. good guys” promo and shattering kayfabe.

Roster shake ups are beyond needed. Smackdown women's division is absolutely dire, Austin Theory/Seth/Bobby Lashley vortex was uninspiring, Bianca is out of credible challengers.

Got a feeling that the Triple H adress will be a waste of time. Either the same stuff as monday or something storyline related. They promoted it for two days to make sure that it will be a ratings boost one way or the other.

Don't think that would ever happen with the current state of WWE, but man wouldn't that make interesting TV

DiscoDinomite

Do you think the rule of two separate brands was because Vince would often make smackdown a "raw repeat" show.

Dimentex

Raw tag team division too. We were talking about it night 1 of WM - all the tag teams we could think of are on Smackdown

ES

I'd imagine it will be the very same, Fox probably want the same message relayed on their show.

I’m still hopeful it will be one brand again. Put on the best shows possible by utilizing the entire roster. Combine the heavyweight belts into one again. Those were the best years of WWE.

@p_wol

Any idea what the talent prefer? (Not that it really matters, what's best for business right?) I imagine drafted rosters means more TV time & opportunities for some.

e d

are they gonna commit to split rosters? probably not...

Daniel Lee

I really wish they’d go back to the strict roster split with separate titles on each show. A draft is more than overdue!

Vicki Langteau

What's the point of the draft when you've got titles that are no longer split? These champions need to start defending if they want both sets of titles. This means YOU Roman!

Thomas Garner

welp...this aged well lol Good work tho guys I really enjoy everything you do

ES

Yeah aged so poorly, must be a massive coincidence that they put out a story about a draft a couple of hours before one was announced....

Thomas Garner

Fair enough, this is why I pay the $5...not like I'm finding this stuff out on my own lol

Santo Colombo

Now that they announced the Draft is there any chatter about a new title coming to Raw.
