The identity of Leatherface is confirmed.

Leatherface appeared on the August 16 AEW Dynamite in a match of the year contender, seeing Jeff Jarrett defeat Jeff Hardy in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre match, which received universal acclaim and zero criticism from literally anyone that watched it, ever.

Towards the end of the match, Texas Chainsaw Massacre star Leatherface made an appearance, chasing several heels backstage. We’ve since learned who was portraying the iconic horror movie star.

Fightful Select has learned that Dean Alexander portrayed the role of Leatherface for the event. Alexander has been wrestling for All Elite Wrestling for about two and a half years, first appearing at the March 2021 AEW Dark tapings. He’s worked at least three dozen dates since then, and regularly teamed with Rosario Grillo and Carlie Bravo. Perhaps his most prominent match was teaming with Kidd Bandit against Too Fast, Too Fuego.

Wrestling Observer reported that AEW got over $100,000 in sponsorships for the spot, which Tony Khan donated to food banks in support of the Maui wildfires.

Breaking: CM Punk has sent Leatherface home from Collision.

Forceofwilliam

As dumb as that whole match was, $100k to charity makes it all worth it in the end.

It’s ok to laugh, don’t get your panties in a bunch.

Tucker

The only good thing to come from this match was all the money going to charity lol

Covell Coleman JR

I actually found it to be an entertaining fever dream lol. They are doing a lot of interesting things cinema-wise

.

The ends more than justify the means

Troy A Palek

It fully reminded me of tripping on Shrooms in college. Quite entertaining and the next day, today in this case, im still not sure what I saw. 🤣🤣🤣

Tempo1337

Christ, do people not know how to have silly fun anymore? I thought it was great. Did exactly what it was meant to do. Some of these wrestling fans are just too serious for me...

Nick O’Shea

with how much a nightmare literally everyone described it as, I feel like I need to watch it.

Yeah, this match showed that people on the Internet (6-7% max of the actual fanbase) take things way too seriously. Sometimes wrestling is supposed to be silly nonsense.

Rincewind

I promise that the folks being horrible about the match haven't donated to the Maui fire relief efforts. Good on them for getting a sponsor and directing those funds towards a good cause. I think having leatherface come out with The Righteous or Butcher, Blade and Bunny would have been a hoot. 😆

Yeah Jeff Jarrett vs Jeff Hardy in 2023 doesn't exactly scream instant classic, can't really understand what people thought this was gonna be. It's the usual crowd of marks that want to complain about everything

Lucas Oliveira

Yep don’t care how shitty that match was now knowing that they donated over 100 K because of it

T Mar
>>115463296

And like my joke, people laugh, don’t like it, move along. Take care

Marshall Enloe
>>115463296

Just like you could move on cause you don't like CM Punk, maybe you should take your own advice

T Mar
>>115463296

Assuming only makes an ass out of you. I’m actually a big CM Punk fan. One of the main reasons I watch Collision. But TK needs to step in and get some control in the locker room. Punk isn’t a EVP.

Marshall Enloe

Like a random mark like yourself actually knows what's going on. You're assuming the situation because of things you read on the internet.

Marshall Enloe
>>115463296

Unless you're there you have no idea. As great as Sean is, he reports what is told to him. He said she said isn't exactly 100%, just ask Johnny Depp

T Mar
>>115463296

So people who were there said it happened. Where there’s smoke.

T Mar
>>115463296

And reported what happened. You weren’t they to say it didn’t so… goodnight sir

T Mar
>>115463296

All signs point to yes. Just accept it and move on with your life.

T Mar
>>115463296

Big difference is people who were there say it did. More credibility then anything you provided.

Marshall Enloe
>>115463296

They were there, you weren't. Fact you wanna bring up something that has nothing to do with Dynamite proves my point

T Mar
>>115463296

Said nothing about Dynamite, just Leatherface. You still don’t get it. 🤣😂🤣😂

T Mar
>>115463296

According to the likes I got, you’re in the minority.

Cory Lamb

Hiding the lead... Young Bucks stand-in Dean Alexander! 😉

T Mar
>>115463296

Sorry you’re the only one that doesn’t get the joke. And I honestly don’t care about your opinion. Sorry not sorry 🤣😂🤣😂

Keegan Fischer
>>115465637

It’s less of a nightmare and more of a fever dream. It’s weird, it’s vaguely entertaining, it never quite makes sense, and people would probably think you’d lost your marbles if you tried to describe it to them

Heeljohn

That match was awesome

Benjamin Brown

The match was bad enough that I actually enjoyed it. Like watching Nothing But Trouble: it’s not a good movie, but it’s so terrible that it’s weirdly charming.
