Skeletan

Someone mentioned it elsewhere, but during Jungle Bucket's first G1 race, it's mentioned how very smart it was of Jungle Pocket to be 'marking' (trailing right behind) the favourite to win, that being Perry Steam. Yet, who was it that was 'marking' Jungle Pocket? That's right, our girl AGNES TACHYON!!

Dentore

So since you brought up the whole G1 Record thing, at the time of the 2001 Japan Cup (the final race in the movie) TM Opera O was at a historic 7 G1 wins, tying the record set by the Emperor, Symboli Rudolf himself. And since this race happened towards the tail end of his career, the record would stay at 7 G1 wins for another 19 years. Other horses matched the number (notably Kitasan Black), but it wouldn't be until the 2020 Japan Cup that this record would finally be broken. In that race, the most OP Mare to ever honse, Almond Eye set the new number to beat at a mindboggling 9 G1 Wins. Girl's so insane, Umamusume made her a Super Boss in a later career.

good stuff

So this being THE uma movie, Cygames took the chance to really give some fan service to other umas and NPC umas/trainers from the game. You can see Kiryuin Aoi and Happy Meek before the first race, alongside the trainer from the next event. The cameos go on throughout the entire thing, basically.

good stuff

FUJI KISEKI SOON BTW, ABSOLUTE MUST PULL

good stuff

As a resident Manhattan Cafe fan going into the movie, I was also disappointed we didn't get much from her. C'est la vie tho. Her getting one of the coolest races with the night time rain is enough for me.

good stuff

Oh and yeah, that side eye Pokke gives to Agnes at the end always ruins me. Her voice acting is absolutely superb in the final stretch of the film
